wp-includes/wp-l10n.php
wp-includes/streams.php
wp-includes/gettext.php
A gettext version of the default theme is available here:
http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/theme/
This is the first draft. There are still some several things that need
to be done.
This theme will NOT work with 1.5. It requires functions that are only
available in the subversion repository. It is not possible to create a
properly localized default theme with 1.5. The gettext theme will be
1.5.1 only.
I haven’t created a pot file yet. I’ll do that once the above issues
are addressed.
I’m about to put a gettext version of the default theme in the
wordpress-i18n repository. However, all locales should still consider
doing an in-line translation. Matt and I no longer get as many of those
“what are those weird __() things” questions now that the default theme
is largely gettext free. That’s a good thing. Reducing overall
template complexity is a worthy goal, and this is a significant step
toward it.
a cui ho risposto con:
Hmm sound strange you suggest to have a klocale version with inline
translation stripping out gettext stuff and then releasing a gettext
version for the theme.
What will be the future of theme localization? Do you plan to add a
separated management for theme translation, with on theme directory
xx_XX.mo files so every theme developper can offer chanche to
trnaslate his/her theme? Or this will apply only to WP bundled theme?
la risposta che ho ottenute è:
Inline translations are preferred. The gettext version of the theme is
supplied for those needing to switch their templates between languages.
By the way, a gettext theme is not the only way to provide templates in
multiple languages. You can use multiple themes (each in a different
language) which automatically switch with the locale. You can give your
site a different look for different languages if so desired. You could
install three different inline translations of the default theme and
automatically switch between them.

The gettext version of the default theme will make use of
load_theme_textdomain(), which is present in 1.5.
load_theme_textdomain() will look in the theme directory for a mo file
matching the current locale. All themes have this option.
Se vuoi, contattami a mrbrog(at)gmail.com.
Ciao.
SteveAglAmministratore del forumFermi tutti, ce l’ho io già tradotto!!!! L’ho appena spedito a Steve
