Per i più esperti c’è questo monitor di richieste HTTP, uso di memoria, AJAX, queries lente e altro, individuando anche se necessiti di più RAM sul server.
Per diminuire o regolare le continue richieste del core attraverso /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php nell’eseguire le chiamate AJAX del browser invece può essere utile questo.
Comunque in generale sono i plugin a rallentare il sito, devi quindi controllare come questi (e il tema) interagiscono con l’admin. Meno ne hai e meno invasivi sono e meglio è: una revisione di quelli che hai attualmente è necessaria.
I plugin di cache – come W3 Totale Cache – sono utili per ottimizzare il caricamento del sito lato frontend, ma possono causare rallentamenti (soprattutto nel backend ma anche nel frontend) se non ben configurati.

Bisogna conoscere e avere accesso all’installazione e fare diverse prove (ci sono diversi plugin per questo tipo di test), vedere quali script rallentano il caricamento, e altro.
Un plugin di cache puoi sempre installarlo, se già non ce l’hai.

E se l’articolo è stato pubblicato, si vede nell’elenco degli articoli sotto la data, non è che WP “non se ne accorge”, anche se il messaggio persiste.
TittiModeratoreDevi rivolgerti al tuo provider (servizio di hosting, es.: Aruba…), colui che ti fornisce lo spazio web e il database, aprendo un ticket di supporto. Se il problema è quello, è a lui che devi rivolgerti, noi non possiamo sapere se il tuo database è pieno o scaduto, né certamente avere le credenziali del tuo pannello di controllo del server.
Oppure chiedi a chi ti ha fatto il sito, perché a questo punto mi pare evidente che non l’hai fatto tu.

Ovviamente no. Pagare la quota di rinnovo database al tuo provider del servizio hosting, cosଠcome stabilito dal contratto che hai stipulato con lui quando hai acquistato lo spazio web.
