Deeproad hai ragione, ma sono nel totale sconforto ed ho scritto istintivamente, non voglio commuovere nessuno, ma proprio eh… tant’è vero che dalla disperazione sto pensando seriamente da ieri di distruggere il sito e provare a farlo ripartire.
Ho il plugin total cache, me lo configurarono gli hoster, 2 giorni fa ho lasciato wordpress senza plugin e senza Genesis framework per fare i test (ho quindi disattivato un plugin per i redirect, che usai quando cambiai la struttura del permalink, le impostazioni seo di Genesis, il plugin relativo al robot txt, ed ora Google trova altri errori o meglio “miglioramenti html” in buona sostanza al momento ha trovato 204 url duplicate, perchè sono ricomparse le url col vecchio permalink…), per vedere se c’erano determinati picchi di consumo di ram, anche quando pubblicavo glia articoli ed infatti aprii l’altro thread per capire come sembravano i consumi.
E quଠsi aggiunge l’ennesimo problema: ho riattivato il Genesis ma in precedenza avevo eliminato il child theme ed ho fatto danno, perchè dopo averlo reinstallato, ora qualsiasi modifica effettuo non la vedo anche usando un child theme diverso. Ad esempio inserisco un logo diverso, una modifica al css, una favicon diversa, resta tutto invariato, le modifiche non ci stanno. Ho fatto come mi han detto quelli di Genesis, ovvero ho ripristinato un backup del child theme ma nulla…Anche svuotando la cache, le variazioni non si vedono.
C’è però da dire che oggi ho riattivato il Total Cache, ed ho ripristinato i settaggi che avevo salvato prima di disattivarlo.
Alla fine del processo compare una pagina bianca e non capisco se i settaggi sono tornati come li aveva impostati l’hoster che mi ha fatto capire che va bene cosà¬.
Oggi, nonostante non ho aggiornato il sito, e sono solo col Genesis e 4 plugin attivi ho avuto picchi di consumo alti, se si pensa che la ram che dovrei avere ovvero 196m, è ben inferiore all’attuale 712 m, mi ritroverei errori a gogo, purtroppo anche da Google, come avvenuto qualche giorno fa (errori 500 e 508).
Le immagini le alleggerisco col photoshop e quindi non superano mai i 30 kb.
Quando mi scrivi:
se le immagini sono ottimizzate per il web. Si può fare, con pazienza, in locale da un backup e poi sostituire quelle nel server;
se le url interne al sito sono state scritte assolute o relative. Se assolute, si lavora in un backup del database in locale, riscrivendole corrette, per poi sostituire quello in produzione.
Per me è arabo… In locale so cosa significa, anche se all’atto pratico ci provai un paio di anni fa e mi sono scordato come si fa ma a questo un rimedio si può trovare, il resto non lo comprendo.
Non ho inserito il link, in quanto vedere il sito non serve a nulla, per ora difficilmente s’impalla, quelli che bisogna guardare sono i consumi e capire il perchè si verificano.
Per fare questo ci vorrebbe un aiutone, e so bene che un semplice forum non può bastare. Ho contattato diverse persone, ma all’atto pratico nessuno si è offerto nemmeno a pagamento.
SantoPartecipanteVoglio cancellare tutto perchè a detta dell’hosting il sito consuma eccessive risorse propozionalmente a quante visite fa. I problemi di messaggi d’errore iniziarono quando il vecchio hosting mi spostò il sito in un altro server.

Da quando sono su quest’hosting i problemi si sono moltiplicati, e ricevo pure errori 500 e 508 da Google. Infatti l’hoster ha provvisoriamente fuso il piano da me acquistato a quello più costoso, ma al momento ho pagato soltanto quello acquistato inizialmente. In buona sostanza, il dover pagare uno sproposito rispetto al traffico che il sito produce, non l’ho accettato ed ho fatto vari test: ho tolto i plugin, ho tolto il Genesis Framework ed il child theme peggiorando ulteriormente le cose. In questa fase ho cancellato il child Theme e non avrei dovuto farlo, ed ora qualsiasi modifica apporto (ad esempio cambio il logo, modifico qualcosa via css) le modifiche non hanno effetto. Dopo oltre 20 giorni di sbattimento per cercare di risolvere il problema di consumi di memoria ram, mi ritrovo anche questo, e nonostante abbia ripristinato un baskup del Child Theme, le cose non cambiano.
E’ complicato da spiegare…
Non vorrei che quando il vecchio hosting mi trasferଠil sito in un altro server, qualcosa non sia andata a buon fine, e potrebbe esserci qualcosa che non va nel database (l’error log elenca tanti problemi dal giorno in cui spostarono il sito ovvero l’11 ottobre). Ecco perchè voglio cancellare tutto, perchè non ci so mettere mano in certe cose, ho chiesto aiuto in tanti posti ma sono sempre nella stessa situazione. Ho chiesto di essere aiutato a pagamento ma nulla…
Che devo fare? Continuare a passare ore ed ore a vagare nel nulla? A cercare soluzioni che da solo non sono in grado di trovare?
Se vedi la discussione linkata, ho chiesto riguardo i consumi quando si pubblica un articolo, perchè l’hosting mi disse che in media un’installazione WordPress senza Genesis framework consuma 50-60 m di ram con 5 plugin attivi. Io quando pubblico con Genesis arrivo anche a saturare i 712 di ram che attualmente ho disponibili, pensa te e quando ciò accade, compare una pagina bianca anche lato admin..
Io chiedevo se cancellando tutto, magari conviene lasciare il sito in stand by, non so.
Poi tieni conto del fatto che non ne capisco molto, io volevo solo avere un sito e fare articoli come faccio nei siti gratuiti. Non installavo nemmeno nuovi plugin per evitare eventuali problematiche. Non mi sono mai trovato in certe situazioni e siccome mi sento impotente e nessuno può aiutarmi, voglio mettere fine a tutto, al sogno di avere un sito mio a tutti gli effetti, che stava crescendo…
Però penso, si può sempre ricominciare

L’altro giorno abbiamo scoperto con l’hoster, che alle 8 e qualcosa del mattino, il crawler di Google consuma un sacco di risorse. Mi consigliarono di abbassare la velocità di scansione via webmaster tool. Quindi ho tolto quella automatica e messo 0.01 richieste al secondo e 100 secondi tra le richieste…
SantoPartecipanteIntendo dire che avendo problemi ormai da quasi un mese, per tagliare la testa al toro vorrei togliere tutto ed installare una copia pulita di WordPress e ripartire da zero.
In buona sostanza, sono sempre più convinto che seppur è una soluzione dolorosissima, è la più giusta.
In pratica dopo parecchi giorni a cercare di sistemare alcuni problemi, mi sono reso conto che gli sforzi sono totalmente inutili, di conseguenza per evitare che mi ricoverino per qualsivoglia malore, intraprendo la strada del perdente. Distruggere tutto.
A questo punto mi chiedo solo: come ripartire dopo un disastro simile? Come ricominciare? Tu come ricominceresti? E’ ovvio che buona parte dell’ottimizzazione seo andrebbe a farsi benedire.

E’ praticamente dall’1 novembre che sto letteralmente uscendo pazzo (7 giorni su 7) al punto tale che da poche ore stavo considerando la possibilità di eliminare tutti i contenuti, reinstallare wp e ricominciare da capo. Peccato che perderei 4-5000 visite al giorno, che con tutte queste problematiche stanno scendendo progressivamente. Loro mi consigliarono:
Se fossi in lei onestamente, dopo tutti i test fatti, opterei per un vps, ma solo se avessi le conoscenze sistemistiche idonee al raggiungimento del mio scopo, e solo perchè mi sarei rassegnato al fatto che il sito abusa di risorse. Probabilmente un vps con 1gb di ram configurato a dovere le può reggere senza problemi 4-5 volte le visite che fa ora, ma sono configurazioni diversi da quelli attuabili in un ambiente condiviso, come le si diceva prima, riguardo sistemi di caching e reverse proxy avanzati.
Io ripeto, i problemi iniziarono quando il vecchio hosting (xlogic) mi spostò il sito in un nuovo server: lo stesso giorno iniziarono errori del tipo [11-Oct-2012 14:30:51 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 27000832) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/general-template.php on line 980
errori che su server.it si sono moltiplicati….
Se mi dici cosଠprendo in considerazione anche la possibilità di cambiare ancora hosting e se hai consigli a riguardo te ne sarei grato.
Era il mio primo sito “vero”, visto che fino ad un anno fa lavoravo solo su siti gratuiti, proprio perchè temevo potessero accadere cose che non avrei saputo sistemare….
Mi affidai al framework proprio per avere la vita più facile…

Provvisoriamente, visto l’eccessivo consumo di risorse e gli errori 500 di Google, ed errori nell’error log scaricato via ftp, hanno fuso al CSM Cloud le risorse del Topcloud. Su quest’hosting ci sto dall’1 novembre, ma i problemini iniziarono col vecchio hosting, guardacaso da quando spostò il sito in un’altro server in data 11 ottobre. Lo testimonia l’error log che porta gli aeriro da quando il sito nacque.
