Una veloce lettura di questo thread e del collegamento all’articolo, ci aiuterà moltissimo:

San PietroburgoPartecipanteMica si capisce esattamente come hai fatto il passaggio tra i due webserver; se WordPress era già sotto server Windows e sei passato a Linux, perché installarlo nuovamente?
Ad esempio, molte volte ho letto, qui nel forum, di utenti aruba passati da IIS a Linux e mai è capitato che questi abbiano dovuto fare una nuova installazione.
San PietroburgoPartecipanteLa cosa più probabile è che lo script del plugin venga killato, lato server, mentre fa il dump del database; motivo troppi processi di PHP o poca memoria a disposizione. Subito dopo parte comunque il comando che invia il file del backup anche se non completato.. E, contemporaneamente, il plugin vede che non aveva finito il backup e rilancia un nuovo dump.. e si ripete la stessa cosa sino a quando riuscirà a completare il suo lavoro. Bel plugin!
Generalmente si risolve aumentando la memoria di PHP, limitando gli script o seguendo queste istruzioni:

Lo zip devi scompattarlo nel tuo computer e poi caricare la folder del tema con i suoi file nel server (da FTP e non attraverso il browser nei media) nella cartella dei temi wp-content/themes

Se cosଠsono di fronte ad un evento che non ho ancora sperimentato, nel senso che partire da zero è ben diverso dal cambiar le cose con i subdomini ed il network già online.
Del fatto che ad un’unica installazione di WordPress si possano puntare più domini ne avevamo già discusso poche settimane fa (cercando qui nel forum troverai quella discussione), è possibile utilizzando il plugin domain mapping.
Ovviamente questa risposta ha valore se l’attuale network che hai creato è in un server adeguato per ciò che riguarda dns wild card alias.
Prima di tutto andrebbe clonato in locale l’attuale network e poi è da studiarsi come procedere, potrebbe essere che con il plugin si riesca a far funzionare il multidominio, oppure, probabilmente, dovrai fare una nuova installazione di WordPress ed utilizzare la funzione esporta, da quella attuale, cosଠda spostare ogni subdominio in un nuovo dominio.

San PietroburgoPartecipanteCreo il file .xml lo carico nei media, poi apro l’editor per una nuova pagina (o post), mi sposto da visuale a html ed inserisco un codice che farà vedere il file .xml in un frame.
Ma se non è questo quello che intendi, allora spiegaci cosa esattamente vorresti fare. Potrebbe essere che il file .xml di cui accenni nemmeno servirà ..
