può anche voler dire che per far capire il tuo problema specifico, dovresti prima fornire le dovute informazioni, quali link dell’installazione wp dove hai il problema (ok, hai un link nel nick, ma tanti hanno più blog quindi non si può dire se è quello) il plugin esatto che hai provato ad installare, il problema descritto in dettaglio.. e cosଠvia.
Tutto questo ovviamente se facendo un search nel forum non hai trovato le risposte che cercavi.
P.s. senza voler far polemica, a mio parere dovresti già esser felice che in altri topic in cui hai chiesto aiuto, ti sia stato dato supporto, visto che lo chiedevi per siti di streaming/download ecc (materiale protetto da copyright insomma) visto che in molte altre realtà , se si chiede aiuto per usi di questo tipo, non viene dato nessun aiuto e le discussioni vengono chiuse (e non tiriamo fuori le favolette del “sono solo link” )

GD l’ho già usato diverse volte in altri siti con wp, quindi bene o male lo conosco. In questo particolare caso invece cercavo appunto qualcosa di ridotto all’osso sia come funzioni sia come “peso” sul caricamento delle pagine, perchè so già che su questo sito non sfrutterò mai le varie funzioni di GD, quindi sarebbe superfluo, considerando anche che di plugin ne avrei già fin troppi per i miei gusti (ma mi servono tutti) e quindi per le ultime modifiche di cui ho bisogno vorrei, dove possibile, mettere solo quello che mi serve e nulla di più.
Comunque, se mi dici che attualmente non ci sono alternative valide, tornerò su quello.
PaperPartecipantela risposta è fondamentalmente quella di prima… lo devi configurare, poi se il testo gestito dal plugin lo vuoi nella sidebar, usi un widget.. se il testo lo vuoi in una pagina o in un post, ovviamente il widget non serve a nulla e devi inserire nella epagina/post le template tag del plugin per indicare dove applicare l’effetto e come.
Ora, non avendo mai utilizzato questo plugin, non posso dirti altro se non di far riferimento alla pagina di WP extend da dove hai scaricato il plugin… lଠci sono le info per l’installazione, le faq, le immagini, i link alla pagina dello sviluppatore dedicata al plugin, dove magari trovi maggiori info, in quanto nella pagina di wp extend c’è più o meno scritto quello che ti ho detto io e poco più, ovvero:
inject random/rotated text by category into the sidebar (via widget) or page body (via template tags).
Can I use shortcodes?
Yes, you can use [randomtext] or [randomtext category=”funny”] or even [randomtext category=”funny” random=”1″].
p.s. magari poi c’è pure un readme nel file che hai scaricato.. non so.
PaperPartecipantebhè, considerando che hai eliminato la sidebar, di certo ora non ci puoi mettere i widget dentro I widget sono appunto da inserire nella sidebar se vuoi visualizzare qualcosa direttamente là¬.. il che non è il tuo caso.
Per inserire il tutto in una normale pagina o post, dovrai usare le apposite tag, nelle modalità che ti indica il plugin, o il suo readme..
PaperPartecipanteBhè, partiamo dal fatto che di norma WP in quel menu inserisce le categorie che hanno post al loro interno e le visualizza in ordine alfabetico. Di conseguenza non mostra le categorie vuote (quindi ad esempio se tutti i post che ora sono in “senza categoria” li metti in categorie più adeguate, quando questa rimane vuota sparisce dal menu). Questo ovviamente a meno che il tema in uso non abbia impostazioni differenti nel template. E praticamente questa cosa è inclusa in quasi tutti i temi di wp (o quantomeno la maggior parte) e la disposizione classica è nella parte bassa dell’header, mentre in quella alta c’è un menu analogo che però mostra le pagine invece che le categorie.
Detto questo, la prima cosa che ti consiglio di fare è quella di andare nella pagina di gestione categorie e organizzarti il tutto come ti viene meglio.. quindi rinominarle se vanno rinominate, cancellarle, aggiungerne di nuove ecc… poi se c’è bisogno, riorganizzi anche i post mettendoli nelle giuste categorie (ricordandoti appunto che di default le categorie vuote non vengono visualizzate).
Ora che hai tutto organizzato, puoi “giocare” con il menu. Il fatto di organizzare il tutto prima è anche dovuto al fatto che di norma le categorie vengono gestite non con il nome, ma con il loro id, quindi se sono già impostate come si deve, imposti il template una volta sola e fine.
Ora, la scelta è sempre: lavoro a mano oppure plugin?
Di plugin sicuramente ce ne sono, ma io personalmente non saprei consigliarti, siccome non ne ho mai usati.. ho sempre gestito questa cosa dalle opzioni dei temi che includevano di loro questa funzione.
Manualmente.. come ti dicevo la norma è che il codice di entrambi i menu (pagine e categorie) sia nell’header… quindi aprendo il file header.php (a meno che nel tuo tema non abbia un nome differente) devi cercare la parte che gestisce il menu categorie.
Un buon punto di partenza è cercare wp_list_categories (analogamente, l’altro sarà alla voce wp_list_pages) e di seguito a questa voce, dovresti trovare tutti i parametri che gestiscono il menu, come l’ordine in cui vengono visualizzate (di default per nome, ma si può cambiare) se quelle vuote vengono nascoste automaticamente, ecc ecc.
Quindi modificando i valori dei singoli parametri, o aggiungendone di nuovi, dovresti riuscire a personalizzarti il menu come preferisci.
Da qui in poi, è consigliabile fare riferimento a questa pagina http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_list_categories per vedere tutto quello che si può fare e come.
Tutto questo a meno che il tema non abbia delle opzioni interne per gestire i due menu in questione, nel qual caso insieme ci sarebbero altre parti di codice per gestire la cosa in automatico dalle opzioni.
PaperPartecipantePer queste cose i metodi sono sempre i soliti:
1) invece che scegliere il tema solo per l’estetica, sceglierlo anche per le funzionalità .. sono diversi i temi free che hanno delle opzioni interne per modificare i menu e tutto il resto con un paio di click… tra cui l’esclusione di alcune categorie dal menu, o la completa disattivazione del menu stesso, ecc.
2) trovare dei plugin che fanno quello di cui hai bisogno con una ricerchina nella sezione extend del sito wp.. come in un topic recente si parlava di un plugin che permette di escludere determinate pagine dai menu, dovrebbe esserci quello analogo che fa la stessa cosa per le categorie.
3) andare a modificare manualmente il tema, specificando quali categorie escludere.. o togliendo proprio la funzione del menu ecc. di norma il codice dei menu come quello del sito che hai linkato sono all’interno del file header, poi ogni tema è fatto a modo suo

Ecco, vedendo la descrizione è proprio quello di cui parlavo io E non ricordavo il nome ingenuamente.. perchè alla fine è uguale a quello del metodo “manuale” che avevo quotato nell’altro post
PaperPartecipanteSicuramente avrai già provato e quindi dirò una cosa ovvia… comunque, in wp oltre ai classici pulsanti per allineamento sinistra/centrato/destra/giustificato, hai anche quello della funzione “incolla da word” che in teoria, serve proprio per mantenere la formattazione del testo, senza stravolgerla come succede facendo il normale copia e incolla nel box d’inserimento testo. Quindi, hai già provato questa funzione?
(ps ovviamente parlo di editor visuale)
PaperPartecipanteAnche se l’argomento è quello, la discussione che avevo letto facevo proprio il nome (forse c’era anche il link) di un plugin che faceva quanto ho scritto sopra. In ogni caso ripeto: con un giro su wp extend, un plugin lo trovi sicuramente, basta cercare un pò tra i vari per pagine, gestione menu ecc.
In ogni caso, anche se la discussione che hai trovato è di un anno fa, direi che in questo estratto ci potrebbe essere la risposta che cerchi:
In pratica wordpress prevede la possibilità di escludere dalla visualizzazione del menu di tutte quelle pagine che non si vuole compaiano al suo interno.
Bisogna modificare “wp_list_pages” del tema che si usa, fornendogli l’istruzione (‘exclude=idpagina’ );

quindi non ti resta che provare
PaperPartecipantebhè, se mi permetti una battuta… mi sa che se usavi un altro tema, avresti avuto vita più facile nel senso che come avevo scritto nell’altro topic, ci sono sul sito wp molti temi che hanno un loro menu interno di opzioni… spesso molto ampio.. e quindi eliminare la sidebar (o modificarne la posizione) nascondere determinate pagine dal menu ecc ecc sono tutte questioni di un paio di clic, senza modificare nulla.
comunque, visto che ormai sei in ballo.. proprio qui sul forum, un paio di giorni fa avevo letto un topic in cui si parlava proprio di un plugin che nella schermata di editing pagina, aggiunge l’opzione per far sଠche questa venga visualizzata nel menu, oppure no. Siccome l’avevo letto “per sbaglio”, non ricordo il nome del plugin, ma con una ricerca qui sul forum o su wp extend, dovresti trovarlo facilmente.
