Ok prendiamo per buono che la guida in questione o era robaccia oppure io ho confuso.
Ripartiamo da zero;
voglio fare il backup periodico del blog, ma non vorrei utilizzare plugin, manualmente cosa devo fare?
Esportare le tabelle del Database non è sufficiente?
Dal tuo “phpMyAdmin” (in genere è cosà¬) selezioni il database in questione e poi nella nuova finestra click sulla voce ‘Esporta‘ in alto – ‘Seleziona‘ tutte le tabelle, segno di spunta su ‘SQL‘ (in genere è cosà¬) – poi ‘Salva con Nome‘ – compresso – non compresso/ click su ‘Esegui’ e salvi il backup dove ti pare – operazione che porta via poco tempo a seconda del peso del DB – avrai ottenuto cosଠun file.zip/gzip del tuo DB mysql

macavanziPartecipanteSalve, vorrei se possibile un vostro aiuto. In pratica vorrei iniziare ad imparare a fare dei blog con un menu in orizzontale dove poter inserire i link delle pagine oltre che averli nella sidebar che normalmente si trova posizionata in verticale. Come fare?

Assegna alla folder /gallery permessi di scrittura (Add a gallery and upload some images (the main gallery folder must have write permission)
Magari carica il plugin via FTP manualmente, poi lo attivi via Pannello Amministrazione – bada che il plugin “scrive” nel database dell’installazione di WordPress – esiste comunque il forum dello sviluppatore del plugin… – senti altri consigli
macavanziPartecipanteNo, non posso. Collegati via FTP con un qualsiasi programma che supporti il protocollo ed elimina manualmente il plugin – non è molto complicato
macavanziPartecipanteEliminalo via FTP manualmente dalla cartella plugins.
macavanziPartecipanteProva ad eliminare il plugin Easy Comment Uploads e vedi se il problema si ripresenta.
