A me su aruba non da problemi. Come tipologia caching hai,provato ad impostare Use PHP to serve cache files?
Hai provato a vedere nel log di aruba che errore ti da?

Il sia per i siti che ho su aruba che su serverplan ho seguito questa guida e ho notato molti miglioramenti

Spunta anche la voce che dice di rigenerare pa cache quando vengono fatte modifiche.
Poi installetei wp optimize per fare un pà³ di pulizia.
Stai attento solo ad una cosa, su Aruba potresti ottenere un errore 500 dopo l’installazione. Per risolvere il problema ti colleghi al pannello amministrativo di wordpress e vai nella funzionalità che ti permette di re-impostare i privilegi sulle cartelle.

Altre due soluzioni:
Prima:
(Se puoi) crea un sottodominio dove installate wordpress e il nuovo sito
Seconda:
Installa wordpress in una sottocartella e nel robots.txt setti che i motori di ricerca non devono entrare. Quando l’hai completato, sposti tutto nella cartella principale, modifichi il file .htaccess rimuovendo il /<sottocartella> e poi metti nel function queste due righe
//FIXME: do comment/remove these hack lines. (once the database is updated)
update_option(‘siteurl’, ‘http://your.domain.name/the/path’ );
update_option(‘home’, ‘http://your.domain.name/the/path’ );
Con l’url definitivo senza sottocartella quindi
Richiami il wp-admin fai il login e il gioco è fatto. Dopodivhè rimuovi le due righe

Io ho utilizzato una soluzione molto semplice.
Ho creato uno shortcode nel function.php inserendo la query al di esterno
$mydb = new wpdb(‘username’,’password’,’database’,’localhost’);

Se vuoi i parametri di connessione li puoi dichiarare anche nel wp-config.php
