Se vuoi fare la cosa senza troppe complicazioni potresti utilizzare un plugin che genera delle tabelle ed aggiornare i dati man mano che lo stato dell’adozione o meno cambi nel tempo, in modo che i visitatori possano avere a disposizione un elenco e cercare.
Le tabelle eventualmente le puoi generare anche tu in base ai tuoi criteri utilizzando ad esempio degli shortcode personalizzati che generano delle tabelle in base ai tuoi criteri a scelta.

daextPartecipanteNel file htaccees puoi tenere conto del “HTTP referer” per decidere se mostrare l’immagine o se invece vuoi mandare come risposta un error 404.
“HTTP referer” è una header inviata durante l’invio di una richiesta HTTP e nel caso di immagini inserite in una pagina tutte le immagini vengono recuperate effettuando delle richieste HTTP che includo il “HTTP referer” della pagina che le sta richiedendo.
Nel caso in cui una immagine è richiesta da un utente che la visita direttamente accedendo all’URL dell’immagine la header “HTTP referer” non viene inviata.
Tu puoi utilizzare questo ragionamento creare una impostazione nel tuo “htaccess” che dice Servi le immagini jpg, jpeg, gif e png solo quando la richiesta include l’HTTP referer del tuo sito.
Tramite questo tool online Hotlink Protection ho creato queste regole da inserire nel tuo htaccess riferite al tuo sito.

Da notare che:
- l’header “HTTP referer” può anche essere simulata effettuando richieste HTTP con CURL o strumenti simili, quindi se un utente comprende il tipo di protezione che ha implementato per vietare il download delle immagini ed è molto esperto potrebbe comunque accedere alle tue immagini.
- Con una regola generica come questa stai impendendo anche ai motori di ricerca di accedere alle tue immagini. Puoi comunque migliorare la regola e permette a specifici crawler di accedere se vuoi.
Un altra soluzione può essere ( ad esempio nel caso in cui tu stia vendendo delle immagini ) quella di proporre pubblicamente delle versioni a bassa risoluzione o con un watermark a tutti gli utenti e di servire le immagini a risoluzione piena ad eventuali utenti loggati che ne devono avere l’accesso.
daextPartecipanteUna soluzione può essere quella di inserire i contenuti nella widget area con un widget “Testo”, poi puoi utilizzare un plugin WordPress che ti permette di assegnare a dei link di testo ( nel tuo caso il link “Read More” ) del contenuto da caricare in una finestra modal.
Per trovare un plugin di questo tipo dovresti cercare nei repository “Modal Window” o “Modal Dialog” finche trovi quello che fa esattamente quello che cerci.
