eccomi.
ho seguito queste ultime indicazioni, caricato tutta la cartella con filezilla, richiamando il sito con il nome del mio sito / il nome della cartella in cui ci sono i file di WP e WP mi ha dato le indicazioni per la configurazione cosଠho inserito nome utente e password del database creato con tophost.

il mio obiettivo è quello di creare un photoblog, ma credo che il primo grosso passo sia stato fatto

– tramite filezilla ho caricato la cartella di WP: nella sezione sito remoto c’è una cartella htdocs e, seguendo le indicazioni della guida, ho creato una sottocartella chiamata foto dove ci ho caricato WP. WP mi appare nel filemanager di tophost.
– apro con il browswe http://www.NOMEDELTUODOMINIO.XX/wp-admin/install.php oppure http://www.NOMEDELTUODOMINIO.XX/foto/wp-admin/install.php
ma appare sempre il messaggio di pagina non trovata.

nella sezione di sito remoto però non ho nulla che inizi con www
ho invece una cartella con / e 3 sottocoratelle (cigi-bin; cinf; htdocs) le prime due con un punto interrogativo sopra. quando ho caricato la cartella di WP ci ho cliccato due volte nella parte di sito locale ed è apparsa nel filemanager di tophost.
ora ho cancellato tutto e riparto dall’inizio.
ho la nuova cartella di WP cui non ho fatto modifiche e che modificherò poi sul mio sito. posso caricarla come ho fatto prima cliccando due volte? e non ho capito cosa devo fare quando dici nel path con cui richiami il sito devi inserire anche quello…
quindi qualcosa tipo http://www.miosito.com/wp/
emm scusa.., sono l’apprendista WP più scarsa del mondo…
bluemarketPartecipantebene. ho scaricato filezilla. ho provato a caricare la cartella, effettivamente è comodo perchè in pochi minuti mi ha caricato tutta la cartella, quella non zippata, di WP sul filemanager di tophost. però poi digitando http://www.NOMEDELTUODOMINIO.XX/wp-admin/install.php c’è ancora l’errore 404 file non trovato. cosଠho pensato d’aver sbagliato a monte, forse nel modificare il file wp-config-sample.php.
i dati che mi ha fornito tophost quando ho creato il database sono questi
host: sql.NOMEDELMIOSITO.XX
userid dbname: xxxxx
password: xxxxx
il file wp-config-sample.php, da modificare, inizia cosà¬:

o il contrario?
e tra le virgolette di ‘localhost’ lascio cosଠo metto qualche cosa?

bluemarketPartecipanteavrò forse sbagliato qualche cosa nei passaggi prima. perchè digitanto cosଠcon il nome del mio sito viene l’errore 404 file non trovato.

ho acquistato il mio spazio web su tophost.
seguendo la guida ho scaricato la versione WordPress 2.6.3 in italiano e modificato il file wp-config-sample.php con le indicazioni datemi da tophost del mio nuovo databese, risalvato il file come wp-config.php.
la guida dice poi di caricare i file in formato ftp nell’hosting. ora, io ho rizippato la cartella, sono andata nel filemanager di tophost e caricata la cartella nella parte chiamata “archivi zip”.
poi la guida dice di lanciare il file di installazione aprendo nel browser il sito e navigando sino al file install.php file. ecco qui che non riesco a capire cosa devo fare. cioè apro il mio sito da dove? se digito il nome del sito mi viene fuori sempre la pagina di presentazione di tophost in cui mi dice le caratteristiche del pacchetto che ho acquistato.
