Lo scrivo in maiuscolo apposta SCUSA se ho postato nell’altro topic, non è una mancanza di rispetto bensଠera esattamente l’opposto caso mai perchè avendo scritto in un post non volevo lasciare il mio messaggio fine a se stesso e credevo di dare una mano. Il post l’ho scritto a cavallo della tua risposta e di conseguenza se mi ero sbagliato non potevo saperlo.
Voglio farti notare che di solito (a parte chi ama perder e far perder tempo) chi scrive un post si sente in una fase di disperazione e le tenta tutte per trovare al più presto una soluzione e quindi non lo fa con un intento di infastidire, ne consegue che si può sbagliare… lo scrivo perchè ho notato spessissimo in questo forum e in altri forum italiani (che non cito) l’insofferenza profonda di voi moderatori verso chi secondo voi infrange le vostre regole.
Non siamo a scuola e non serve cercare di bacchettare le persone perchè ciascuno di noi fa del proprio meglio nel proprio campo di lavoro e cerca di sopravvivere in questa crisi…

angel57PartecipanteAggiungo anche altre mille scuse perchè ho letto stanotte varie volte quel post in Evidenza e sono andato anche a leggere il link per sistemare il config.php ma essendo ignorante totalmente di php no devo aver inserito nel posto corretto le linee di codice.
Quindi come si è capito ho fatto un lavoro inutile di reinstallare la 3.5.1 e il database!
Posso allora chiedere un favore a nome di chi non capisce nulla di php. A che punto della pagina vanno inserite le due linee di codice

si difatti stavo usando un child theme di twentyeleven che non modificava niente tranne il colore del fondo ma dalla dashboard e non da css o altro. Avevo seguito il tuo consiglio su un precedente post.
Comunque ho risolto il problema chiamando l’assistenza di Aruba.
Nel mio caso bastava entrare nel pannello di controllo dell’hosting Linux e cliccare su Riparazione Permissions
Magari può esser d’aiuto a qualcuno perchè mi hanno confermato che durante l’aggiornamento alla nuova versione in questi giorni si è verificato già altre volte. “Qualche file ” mi è stato detto “può indurre al cambio dei permessi”
Quindi mi hanno suggerito quando si verificasse tale errore dopo un aggiornamento sia di versione che di plugin importanti di provare a Riparare i permessi dal pannello di controllo dell’hosting linux.

angel57PartecipanteCiao ho appena finito di creare un post per il fallimento dell’aggiornamento a 3.5.2 e non voglio fare un duplicato ma ho appena letto che Dieffetech scrive “perchè hai disattivato i plugin?”
Io non li ho disattivati, l’aggiornamento è fallito e dopo il trasferimento via ftp dei nuovi file non accedo più e mi compare error 500, avete un suggerimento per cortesia?

inanzitutto grazie mille e mi scuso se ho fatto una domanda farraginosa. Io avevo già scoperto l’uso della funzione “casuale” però leggendo alcuni post su questo forum e su worpress.org a riguardo delle immagini nell’header sono entrato in confusione. Ho letto buona parte della guida nelle wiki dove si parla di creare un file functions.php per fare modifiche da non perdere con l’aggiornamento. E siccome non ho mai usato WP non so dove salva le immagini personalizzate con altri software mi creavo una mia cartella che quindi non veniva toccata dall’update.
Qui tutto secondo le mie incomprensioni sembrava essere salvato nel wp-content.
La documentazione di WP al contrario di altre situazioni è molto più per addetti ai lavori che per principianti come me, o meglio sarebbe stato semplice nelle istruzioni di base dire che per aver immagini personalizzate basta caricarle, che c’è o meno un limite di numero e che vengono salvate in una cartella apposita a prova di update. In questo modo anche un profano come me di WP avrebbe immediatamente capito e non avrebbe disturbato voi per una cosa cosଠsemplice.

Però credo di essermi spiegato malissimo. Dopo aver letto vari post qui e nel sito inglese ho capito che caricando le mie immagini una alla volta queste prendono il posto di quelle di default e le posso usare con la funzione casuale che è attivata già di default.
La mia domanda è se voglio creare una cartella con queste foto personalizzate nella directory del theme “twentyeleven-child” e poi creare un file functions.php che “override” soltanto la parte delle foto nell’header come devo fare? dove trovo un esempio di cosa inserire tra i tag di apertura e chiusura PHP? Domanda semplice per chi conosce php e wp ma confusione grande per chi inizia come me.
Però, in questo caso puoi indicarmi quale è la procedura più corretta per usare immagini personalizzate senza correre il rischio che un aggiornamento di WP mi cancelli le foto? Grazie mille per il cortese aiuto.

angel57PartecipanteControlla le istruzioni del tuo server, perchè mi risulta che ad esempio su Aruba il file index.html ha la priorità su altre estensioni…Però qualche altro più esperto di me potrà darti un consiglio migliore.
angel57PartecipanteGrazie Mille! Un chiarimento visto che sei molto gentile, come posso usare uno di quei temi indicati come Translation-ready nella directory di wordpress per avere ovviamente menù, etc in Italiano?
Il tuo aiuto mi sarà preziosissimo per non combinare pasticci e lasciare spazio agli altri nel forum per le loro richieste
