Dopo avere effettuato l’aggiornamento alla WP2.5, se desiderassi inserire un file immagine in un post che sto scrivendo, cliccando sul tasto “Add media” e scegliendo l’opzione “Scegli il file da caricare dal tuo computer”, mi appare questo messaggio di errore. Ho compiuto questa semplice operazione centinaia di volte sino alla 2.3.3 e non é mai stato difficile caricare un file dal pc… ora, (qui da me) non funziona più! Nessuno ha riscontrato un problema del genere?
PS
ho provato a disattivare tutti i plugin ma il problema persiste.

Solitamente il problema è proprio qualche plugin ad esempio bad behavior è noto per dare errore col flash uploader. Quale browser utilizzi? Verificare che la cartella di upload (posta in wp-contett) e le sue sottocartelle abbiano i permessi a 775.
Sul forum inglese qualcuno ha il medesimo problema, ed alcuni hanno risolto inserendo il seguente codice nel proprio file .htaccess

Sebbene io abbia in un primo momento ripristinato i permessi, l’operazione non é stata sufficiente: una volta modificato il file .htaccess, la funzione di upload si é messa a funzionare correttamente!
Grazie ancora SteveAgl per la ricerca che hai effettuato al posto mio! Scusami, non ho pensato di andare a leggere il forum in inglese…

Salve a tutti,
purtroppo anche io ho un problema con l’upload delle immagini. Non mi appare nessun messaggio di errore. In effetti l’immagine viene presa dal pc. Però poi quando clicco su Show non succede niente. e l’immagine non riesco a metterla nel testo del messaggio? Come mai?? ho anche provato a creare il file .htaccess con quei comandi ma nulla. Mi viene visualizzato un errore nella visualizzazione della pagina (Javascript penso), ad ogni modo se faccio su Gallery e poi su show di una immagine non accade nulla… Inoltre a sto punto come porto l’immagine nel testo?’

Direi di si, perchè non è ben chiaro se il problema nasce solo con IE7 o che, ho notizie su ML inglesi di gente che ha problemi sotto unix con FF, quindi parrebbe una cosa più “sofisticata” del semplice incompatibilità con un browser. Almeno si allertano anche loro e magari indagano visto che avranno altri utenti con lo stesso problema pochi o tanti che siano.

Nella dir principale di WP, ma solo se hai i permalink attivi, se no non c’è proprio. In FTP di solito non è visibile essendo un file che inizia con un punto, ma tutti i programmi FTP hanno una opzione per mostrare i file nascosti

Se nonostante le modifiche ai permessi della cartella
/wp-content
(e sottocartelle) e l'aggiunta del nuovo codice di cui sopra al file
.htaccess
il problema continuasse a persistere (purtroppo può capitare!) mi permetto di suggerire l'installazione del plugin No Flash Uploader. Dopo avere attivato il plugin, sarà nuovamente possibile caricare le immagini (vedi qui)

Allora… Dopo l’aggiornamento a WP 2.5 ho il problema che non riesco a caricare le immagini.
Se clicco per inserire l’immagine mi appare questo…
Sono su Tophost, il nodo è lo 03 e ho già provato a
1) ripristinare i permessi
2) modificare il file .htaccess
3) caricare il plugin NO Flash Uploader
ma senza alcun cambiamento. Mi appare sempre quell’immagine (che un po’ sembra mi pigli in giro!)
Cosa devo fare?
Ticket su Tophost?
Ricarico i file di WP?
Mi dedico al woo-doo?
O è cosଠsemplice che non ci arrivo??
DIMENTICAVO: mi accade sia con Firefox 2.0.0.13 che con IE 7 che con Opera 9.27. In un altro blog che sta su Tophost sul nodo 05 invece funziona benissimo.

Eppure non capisco ancora dove sia il problema!! con ie7 c’è un errore di visualizzazione pagina non appena si clicca su aggiungi immagine.
Questo è quello che appare. Problema non risolto con il comando nel file .htaccess e ho anche contattato l’hoster il quale dicono che è tutto a posto.

@ilmatte81 quel difetto su TH non lo abbiamo riscontrato, ma io oltre a dire di ricaricare i file avevo detto di seguire i suggerimenti standard (disabilitare tutti i plugin)
@davidex veramente c’è un posto rigiardante IE7 e WP 2.5 pubblicato oggi sul nostro blog… e viene anche indicato il ticket che lo risolve (o meglio lo risolverà nella 2.5.1) ma le cui modifiche se uno è pratico possono essere applicate anche ora, a proprio rischio e pericolo, ripeto solo se SI SA QUEL CHE SI FA. Altrimenti nel frattempo usare un browser diverso es. FF

Nessun hosting, l’ho installato sul server del lavoro. Dati essenziali: Webserver Apache Server 2.0.x e Application server Apache Tomcat 5.5.x, PHP 5 e database mySql Server 5
Su IE7 stessa anomalia già segnalata. La cosa che mi manda a male è che ho fatto i test su 3 pc analoghi e su 2 di questi (test su Firefox che è il browser che uso principalmente) non funziona.
Su IE6 compaiono degli errori di Javascript, ma alla fine i file li carica.

Con WP 2.5, non riesco nemmeno io a caricare file e immagini, ottengo lo stesso messaggio “Errore HTTP”.
– ho settato i permessi a 775 nella cartella wp-content e sottocartelle
– ho modificato il file .htaccess come suggerito
– ho provato a creare una cartella e ho settato le impostazioni in modo che fosse la predefinita per l’upload
– opero con FireFox e Safari su Mac
– hosting Linux su register.it
Mi rimane qualcos’altro da fare prima di ritornare alla 2.3.3 ?

L’hosting è Register.it, è un buon servizio “business” su server Linux, ho provato varie installazioni e non mi ha mai dato problemi con le versioni precedenti al contrario p. es. di TopHost che qualche problema di upload l’ha sempre avuto; per questo non li ho ancora coinvolti ma posso naturalmente farlo. cosi ho portato i pemessi da 755 a 777 alle seguenti cartelle

-wp/content/plugins
-wp-content/themes
l’errore è scomparso il file è stato caricato ma, compare correttamente sul blog, ma non è stata creata la sottocartella.
il file ora è in http://www.blindosrl.it/wp-content/gui.bmp
devo impostare io qualcosa o c’è un errore??

dipende dai settaggi che hai in Impostazioni->Varie, sono le prime che trovi, la prima indica in quale directory salvare i file probabilmente è impostata a wp-content impostandola ad esempio ad wp-content/uploads uploads sarà la cartella di destinazione, se spunti l’opzione di organizzare per mesi e anni sotto uploads si formeranno una cartella per ogni anno con all’interno una cartella per ogni mese (nuemrica).
Per l’impostazione wp-content/uploads dovrebbe essere quella predefinita.

Ho provato a modificare prima di caricare le immagini la directory di default dove devono essere caricate, e posso confermare che poi una volta importate negli articoli è indifferente dove era stata caricata l’immagine, anche riportando alla directory di default le immagini inserite non cambiano il loro indirizzo e continuano quindi ad essere visibili.
mi sovviene un dubbio, l’immagine inserita dopo la modifica ha dei dati diversi rispetto a quelli che hanno gli altri, nel senso che le altre immagini non hanno descrizioni e l’indicazione di quale articolo le contiene (o sono errate, mi riferisco alla gestione dei media naturalmente). Però mi sovviene il dubbio che questo fatto possa essere causato dall’inserimento delle immagini con il sito basato su WP 2.3.3, mentre naturalmente per l’ultima ho usato la 2.5…
Ho notato che durante il caricamento potrei scrivere manualmente la posizione effettiva dell’immagine, quindi senza andare a modificare la directory di default, ma lo devo fare per tutte le URL manualmente.
Si potrebbe chiedere per una prossima release di WP che ci sia un pulsante che permetta di decidere dove inserire le immagini prendendo il path direttamente dal server (che so, tutte le directory sotto /uploads, l’ultima che è stata usata per un upload o cose del genere)…
a modificare a mano la cosa si rischia di dimenticare qualche URL, o di digitare in modo errato la direcotry, e quindi in realtà creare una nuova directory quando non sarebbe necessaria…
altro suggerimento per una nuova implementazione, ho visto che quando si vanno a visionare i media, con gestione dei media, pur essendo in directory diverse, i media vengono presentati tutti insieme, sarebbe meglio (secondo il mio modesto parere) che invece sia presentato l’albero delle directory (a usando come radice quella di default messa nelle opzioni), questo perché quando si comincia ad avere veramente tante, ma tante immagini inserite negli articoli (tanti, ma tanti articoli) la necessità di una buona gestione dei media si fa veramente sentire…
Spero che queste note possano essere uno spunto da cui partire o per costruire un plugin (non sono in grado, soprattutto ora con il nuovo WP2.5, di realizzarlo personalmente), o per suggerimenti da portare agli sviluppatori di WP per un’implementazione in una prossima release (e credo che se la cosa vi pare interessante, voi abbiate migliori contatti di quanti ne potrei avere io, con il mio pessimo inglese)…

Ottimo suggerimento, più che un pulsante basterebbe una casella combinata a discesa dove ora si indica la dir di destinazione che riporti la struttura delle dirctory presente sotto la directory di upload.

Relativamente al problema dell’upload dei file (immagini, pdf, ecc.) mi era stato suggerito da SteveAgl di chiedere aiuto al provider, che mi risponde quanto segue:
“Le comunico che molto probabilmente il problema è derivato dal fatto che lo script dell’upload richiede risorse in termini di memoria troppo elevate.
Infatti, per impostazioni di sicurezza, il sistema “CGIWrap” di Register.it pone un limite di 40 MB alla memoria utilizzabile da uno script PHP.
Il Suo plugin, invece sembrerebbe richiedere più risorse:
// Set artificially high because GD uses uncompressed images in memory
@ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘256M’);
$image = imagecreatefromstring( file_get_contents( $file ) );
nel file /albatros/wp-admin/includes/image.php”
è possibile modificare lo script in modo che risponda alle limitazioni imposte dal provider ?

Se vuoi prova a cambiare nel file indicato quel 256 a 40MB ma a dire il vero nessuno dei miei hosting ha un memory limit molto più alto variano dai 32 ai 90MB ma lo script funziona… quindi mi sa che come spesso accade la risposta è stata data a semicasaccio… ma provare non costa nulla.

Riporto qui un commento che ho lasciato al blog, visto che lଠla discussione si è un po’ arenata. Magari il mio caso darà qualche elemento in più per la soluzione del problema.
Aspettate, la cosa è molto più divertente: ho avuto modo di provare a usare il Media Uploader del mio sito via Windows. E… FUNZIONA.
Su un altro computer, sempre con Firefox ma con l’unica differenza di avere windows come sistema operativo, il media uploader non dà lo stesso problema.
Con Mac, invece, qualsiasi browser si usi, il problema si presenta.
IN-SPIE-GA-BI-LE.
In pratica: Windows sà¬, Mac no. Perché?
ps: ho rifatto una prova anche stamattina… e confermo: da Windows funziona tutto.

Anche su mac non dovrebbe dare problemi tanto che molto del lavoro in fase di sviluppo è stato fatto per renderlo compatibile con Safari. Sono sicuramente una combinazione di codice dello script e di settaggi dei singoli server perchè vi sono casi di utenti che con lo stesso computer ma su hosting diversi di installazioni identiche di WP hanno problemi diversi, per ora la soluzione è usare il plugin che si trova qui: http://trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/6406/no-flash-uploader.php che disabilita l’uploader in flash.

ho usato fino a ieri in modo molto intenso, la funzione di UPLOAD, senza riscontrare nessuna difficoltà ,
il problema è arrivato inaspettatamente oggi su firefox. Mentre se uso per l’upload delle immagini I.E. 6 tutto funziona regolarmente. Opero con aruba senza particolari difficoltà . grazie per l’aiuto

Mi sono iscritto apposta per scrivere qui la mia esperienza.
Da Mac, sia con FF sia con Safari, non riesco a caricare immagini sul mio blog col nuovo sistema in Flash. Col vecchio, era sempre stato tutto ok.
Sono su Aruba.
Ho riscontrato che il problema sembra essere la dimensione dell’immagine. Infatti, riducendo le fotografie ad una dimensione molto piccola (tipo 200x300px) riesco a fare l’Upload, in caso contrario la barra di avanzamento si blocca e rimane bloccata in eterno.
Idee?

Vi è un limite alla dimensione (in kB non in pixel) massima di un file caricabile col nuovo sistema, dimensione che non ricordo al momento, ma certamente non cosi piccola come una immagine da 200×300, ho caricato senza problemi su altri hosting dimensioni maggiori, immagini di alcune centinaia di kB. Sembrerebbe più legato a Mac anche se non si capisce perchè visto che Safari in fase di test è stato pesantemente testato proprio perchè evidenzio problemi sin dall’inizio.
Suggerisco di usare il plugin che ho indicato in una mia replica precedente per disabilitare l’uploader flash ed attendere la 2.5.1

ho già provato ad installare il plugin noflash, a modificare .htaccess e anche a ridurre quella dimensione massima da 256M a 40M: nessun successo.
Per dare un ordine di grandezza, immagini di 148k non vengono accettate, immagini di 50k si.
Dopo aver caricato le immagini piccoline, mi compaiono poi degli errori riguardo i dati EXIF, che però avevo considerato slegati dal problema di caricamento. Gli errori sono:

Sono in grado di definire meglio il mio problema:
1. con Safari e Fire Fox su Mac G5, WP 2.5 non carica immagini ed altri file da inserire nei post e nelle pagine
2. con Fire Fox su Win XP funziona regolarmente.
Non ci resta che aspettare la versione 2.5.1

Confermo quanto scritto da claudiop e ribadisco quanto detto da me prima:
con il Mac, sia con Safari sia con FireFox, non è possibile caricare immagini troppo grandi, riesco a caricare solo immagini di massimo 50k circa.
Ciò avviene anche installando il plugin no-flash, modificando il file .htaccess o modificando la dimensione massima nello script da 256M a 40M.
Stesso computer, ma da Windows, e stesso provider, l’upload riesce senza problemi.
Il computer è un MacBook Pro e il SO è MacOS X 10.4.11

a me anche con la 2.5.0 aveva iniziato ad andare, sia con FireFox sia con Safari non ho capito bene in seguito a cosa (forse dopo l’aggiornamento di Safari alla 3.1, non so)
