buonasera a tutti, ho installato w3 total cache https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ al posto di wp super cache soprattutto perchè ho letto che il primo permette di minificare js, css e non c’è bisogno di altri plugin 8che io adoperavo insieme a wp super cache, tipo autoptimize). comunque, devo dire che ho letto diverse guide su come settarlo, perchè in effetti è più complicato di supercach però adesso non ho capito perchè, dopo diverse prove e settaggi, sempre in linea con le guide lette ininternet, ho ottenuto un buon rendimento in velocità per la home misurato con gtmetrix e insight. il problema è per tutte le altre pagine che caricano molto lentamente, parliamo di decine di secondi….come posso fare per capire qual è il problema? tra l’altro nonostante abbia installato il plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-query-strings-from-static-resources/, in gtmetrix mi appare una serie di stringhe in cui sono presenti “?” che prima non c’erano e il plugin non riesce ad eliminarle. Come posso fare secondo voi, dove trovo la migliore guida per settare w3 total cache?

Non c’è una migliore guida per configurare W3TC, fidati di tutte quelle che leggi e allo stesso tempo di nessuna. Dipende strettamente dal tipo di installazione, e lo dico in tutti i sensi.
Potresti metterci mesi se non anni per configurarlo bene, anche perché ogni installazione non rimane fissa, ci sono cambiamenti e ogni cambiamento può esser sensibile. L’installazione comprende anche il server ovviamente (anzi, l’installazione è sul server), quindi ad esempio sapere se attivare o no la cache del DB è importante perché spesso è necessario attivare solo quella object e la differenza conta molto… in definitiva se non si può sapere subito come configurarlo bisogna farlo nel tempo e testare le cose una ad una.
Per quanto riguarda i query strings in W3TC controlla in Browser cache se “Prevent caching of objects after settings change” è spuntato o no, se sଠtogli la spunta. Mi pare che tutte o quasi quelle stringhe provengano dal tuo tema e probabilmente sono generate ogni volta che cambi qualcosa nelle impostazioni, togliendo quella spunta eviti che succeda.
Prima, disattiva subito e poi pensa prima o poi a cancellare quel plugin che hai citato perché secondo me serve a poco o nulla, ma soprattutto non ha senso se uno fa una cosa e all’altro gli dici di fare il contrario. Un plugin di cache basta e avanza, imparati quello e lascia stare gli altri in qualsiasi forma siano possono sempre andare in conflitto soprattutto se non sai come configurarli.

ti ammiro Titti, sia per la tua conoscenza in materia che per il tuo modo sempre parco ed efficace nelle tue espressioni, sei una supporter insostituibile!
riguardo le query resources avevi ragione…sul resto inizio a pensare che sia un po’ troppo comp’licato per me, perchè ho trascorso diverse ore a ottenere risultati altalenanti fino a raggiungere il peggiore, caricamenti di 10 sec di media per pagina!
Sto pensando di ritornare al wp supercache più semplice anche se non risolve i problemi sulla minificaz. Conosci un altro plugin utile da abbinare a supercache per migliorare la minificazione?
Tra l’altro non capisco perchè su page speed, mi dà risultati abbastanza buoni, quando invece il caricamento risulta essere lentissimo, vabeh…

Ogni tool è diverso e a parte quello non è detto che la velocità di caricamento sia sempre buona anche in presenza di piccoli problemi o mancanza di uno rilevante: se una pagina è pesante, è pesante comunque da caricare anche senza problemi, certo una con problemi lo sarà di più ma l’ottimizzazione consiste in aver buoni risultati in relazione a ciò che si ha su quella pagina, a meno che non si abbia 100% non è un valore assoluto, è un compromesso.
Basandomi solo su gmetrix le tue percentuali 93 e 88 non sono male in homepage rispetto a prima. Certo dovrebbe essere molto meglio anche in home proprio in rapporto alla leggerezza della pagina e le relativamente poche richieste, ma soprattutto hai qualcosa da fare nelle altre pagine – es. – 1,16 MB è troppo e anche 116 richieste lo sono quindi aldilà dei vari plugin devi ottimizzare e lavorare su ciò che le rende cosଠpesanti e dove i plugin non possono far niente – vero è che ho pescato per caso una con tanti commenti ma anche dove non ce n’è il tempo di caricamento è troppo alto per gli errori ma lo è anche rispetto al peso e alle richieste della pagina.
Scegli il plugin dal quale riesci ad ottenere i migliori risultati, ma ripeto ci sono cose da sistemare manualmente e anche rivedere il parco plugin o dei vari “accessori”, forse ne hai troppi e un sito come quello di solo testo (cioè, che al visitatore mostra solo testo) non dovrebbe essere cosଠpesante.

Il tuo sito è improvvisamente sparito, not found. Non è un problema di WP e se tu non hai toccato o spostato niente nei tuoi file o cambiato URL nelle impostazioni o .htaccess è un problema di connessione remota. Fossi in te aprirei subito un ticket con il tuo provider.

sà¬, era un problema credo di sovraccarico del server…In generale devo mettermi a migliorare le pagine come suggeriva Titti. ho disintallato w3 total cache, un po’ complicato e messo wp faster cache, anche se devo dire è un po’ misero di opzioni comunque…
ora non so se posso continuare qui o aprire un altro topic perchè in seguito, credo, a queste continue impostazioni di verse di sti plugin, la versione mobile del tema a volte è visibile e avolte no, eppure non ho minificato (non so se si die cosà¬) nessun file…. ho chiesto anche all’autore del tema Mesocolumn e mi diceva appunto di non settare in minify che può dare problemi https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mobile-version-doesnt-appeare?replies=2#post-7700651 però come dicevo non ho risolto…può essere un problema di compatibilità di plugin con il tema? quewsta cosa l’ho testata con page speed che è l’unico che fa vedere le anteprime. Plugin di cache come W3TC e Super Cache devono essere disinstallati seguendo la procedura indicata dagli autori dei plugin, perché cancellandoli solo da bacheca lasciano file residui e questi vanno cancellati manualmente. Segui quindi le istruzioni e fai pulizia di file e di cartelle cache via FTP.
Inoltre, prima di disattivarli e cancellarli avresti dovuto pulire completamente la cache del sito tramite le loro opzioni.
Comunque, se per versione mobile intendi il tema in visibilità responsive (e non una versione diversa), io lo vedo come dovrebbe essere.
Il minify sà¬, è la prima cosa da disattivare in qualsiasi plugin di cache in caso di problemi di visualizzazione.
E in ogni caso anche qui le solite vecchie prove suggerite (tema default e tutti i plugin disattivati, poi riattiva per primo solo il tema) possono essere utili anche per “smuovere” qualcosa che si è bloccato a livello di cache.
Per incompatibilità tema-plugin (e anche questo puoi vederlo con le prove) devi sentire dai rispettivi autori se sono note.

Ho provato ad installare di nuovo w3 total cache e non mi ero accorto che era ancora presente wp super cache combinato un casino, le pagine non sono visibili, cosa può essere successo? ho cancellato anche l’interno dlela cartella cache via ftp ma non cambia niente, help me
il backend e la home sono visià¬bili

Oppure rimane sempre di ripristinare un backup precedente al casino che hai combinato.
I plugin, specie quelli particolarmente invadenti, andrebbero sempre provati in locale o su un sito di prova.
Non è niente di irrimediabile ma devi ripulire tutto.

Ho chiesto all’hosting se hanno un backup recente, perchè purtoppo ce l’ho di qualche mese fà , ma solo del wp content e del db. Dovrei intervenire anche sul backup del db o solo dei file? Non so come fare, attendo

chiedo scusa di nuov, non è per fare un up, so che è vietato, volevo solo dirvi che ho provato a fare un ripristino di un backup un po’ vecchiotto, però solo del wp content che è l’unico che ho, ma non è cambiato niente, dovrei farlo del db o di tutti i file dentr la cartella di wordpress?

Backup almeno di wp-content, del file config.php e dell’.htaccess, che non nomini e che non avrai neppure guardato, nonostante sia già stato detto in quelle istruzioni.
Prima di eventualmente mettere su roba vecchia avresti dovuto fare le operazioni di pulizia fino in fondo anche sull’.htaccess, se non le hai fatte falle e spero tu abbia fatto backup di wp-content prima di mettere su quello vecchio.
Scarica .htaccess in locale, cancellalo sul server e fallo rifare in automatico a WP ripristinando i permalink.

i permalink!! era quello il problema, se l’avessi saputo prima. l’htaccess era già pulito (l’avevo guardato a seguito delle istruzioni nella guida ).
è vero il wpcontent che c’era prima mi son dimenticato di scaricarmelo in locale, ma non credo che cambi molto con quello di 2 mesi fà che ho caricato ora…il config l’ho ripulito dalle righe in grossetto di prima e sembra che ora sia tutto a posto…GRAZIEE PER LA PAZIENZA TITTI!!
edit: ora mi cimenterò di nuovo nell’installazione di w3 total cache non perchè sono masochista, ma ho visto un risultato migliore con gtmetrix settandolo in una certta maniera che non ircordo(non so come ma ci riproverò) . leggo però nelle istruz per l’installazione che i permessi del wp content folder e dell’uploads devono essere temporaneamente su 777, ma a me via ftp non me lo fa fare mi lascia sempre 755 anche s ecorreggo, c’è altra maniera o si può installare anche cosà¬? non è che magari è quella la causa dei problemi che avevo prima?

scusate di nuovo, purtroppo non riesco a acapire una cosa…ho reinstallato w3 total cache con i permessi giusti a 777 e poi dopo installaz. a 755 del wpcontent e uploads. avevo già cancellato tutte le tracce di cache in giro sia in htacce che config e disinstallati altri plugin di cache, quindi era tutto ok. Il problema che ho è di nuovo il fatto che la homepage e solo la homepage, non si visualizza in versioone mobile e non riesco a acpaire il perchè. se fosse un problema di tema o plugin dovrebbe capitare per tutte le pagine e invece no. Ho settato solo le cose essenziali in w3 tc, cioè solo le impostaz di default ovvero enable page cache e browser cache, nella sez. page cache ho abilitato solo Cache URIs with query string variables e Don’t cache pages for logged in users che sono di default. Mentre in broeser cache ho spuntato Set Last-Modified header, Set expires header e Enable HTTP (gzip) compression, che sono anch’esse di default tranne Set expires header. stop.
Ho chiesto anche all’autore del tema sperando di ottenere una risposta più precisa, perchè come dicevo prima diceva di evitare il minify, ma non l’ho mai settato.
qualcuno ha la bontà e la pazienza per potermi suggerire cosa potrebbe essere, Titti compresa?

Con tutte le installazioni-disinstallazioni di plugin di cache che hai fatto in questi giorni non devi meravigliarti se vedi delle stranezze.
Rimane come nella precedente risposta, io la tua HP la vedo normale sul mobile, ma tu non dici cosa c’è che non va esattamente – è questione di cache e sull’homepage perché chiaramente sarà la pagina che hai aperto comunque sempre in questi giorni a differenza delle altre.
Aldilà del fatto che le impostazioni che riferisci non sono per nulla ottimali né utili, ma queste come dicevo sono cose che devi personalizzare con l’aiuto di guide e nel tempo, non hai provato a svuotare completamente la cache del browser che usi, o a provare con un altro browser e/o un altro dispositivo?

vero
il problema è che non le vedo solo io ( e avrebbe potuto essere un problema di cache del mio browser chee comunwue ho svuotato ripetutamente) ma l’ho notato su pagespeed insight…ripeto, capita occasionalmente (ora si, per es. 5 minuti fà , no), si vede la verisone desktop e non quella mobile solo nella home e quindi mi dà una penalizzazione in rosso con il messaggio “Questa pagina potrebbe non superare il test di ottimizzazione mobile di Google” e questo mi preoccupa un po’
non ho provato con altri dispotivi mobili perchè non ne ho, ma credo che speedpage non abbia un meccanismo di cache (o si?)

Io la vedo bene e responsive, l’ho già detto? Mi pare di sà¬, quindi per me non c’è nessun problema di visione mobile – e anche se vedo l’errore su pagespeed per me non cambia nulla dato che quella non è una visione reale e non è quello che vedo io quindi al limite chiedi sul forum di Google.
Oppure fregatene di quello che dice pagespeed e tornaci fra un mese quando ti sarà passata ‘sta fissa e vedrai che sarà tutto a posto.
Non è un problema di WP e quello è solo un tool e tu non puoi fare niente sui falsi positivi al massimo puoi cancellare la cache del sito fatta da W3TC e certo che sà¬, ovviamente pagespeed ha una sua cache.
