Ciao a tutti, qualche anno fa ho eredito un blog che gestisco, ha una versione datata di WordPress, non riesco a scoprire quale, dove posso guardare sull’interfaccia che gestisce il blog non la trovo, la schermata è diversa da quella dell’ultima versione. Ci potrebbero essere problemi per un upgrade se la versione è molto vecchia?

Potresti provare, a guardare la sorgente pagina di una pagina del tuo sito.. Di solito all’inizio del codice potresti anche trovare la versione..
Sennò, anche in basso in basso della tua pagina amministrazione.. Oppure sennò, nella pagina di aggiornamento di WordPress dovrebbe esserci la versione..
Io ho incominciato da WP 3, non saprei esattamente come erano strutturate le vecchie versioni.

se è inferiore alla 2.3si , meglio fare più update.
La versione la vedi in bacheca oppure nel file versions.php in wp-include

quindi dovrei passare prima ad una 2.9 ad esempio(non so neanche se esiste)poi all’ultima ma il procedimento è sempre lo stesso?

no, prima passi alla 2.3, dopo passi alla 2.7 poi alla 3.0 e poi all’ultima.
Io ti suggerisco di fare questi passaggi, per sicurezza.
La cosa importante è che tu faccia sempre il backup sia del database che dei file prima di fare ogni aggiornamento.
Dopo ogni passaggi verifichi che sia tutto funzionante e passi al successivo.
Ogni aggiornamento fallo con tutti i plugin disattivati e con il tema standard.
Nella pagina download di questo sito trovi tutte le indicazioni, inclusi i link per scaricare le vecchie versioni.

Scusa stavo pensando che non credo che il tema sia quello Standard, e non c’è più potrebbe darmi problemi questo?

Nelle vecchie versioni di WordPress trovi anche il tema di default. Prima di tutto da FTP carichi quello e lo imposti; poi inizi con il lavoro. Ci si raccomanda backup, backup ed ancora backup, specie del database!
