Ho utilizzato il plugin in oggetto per aggiornare a 2.7. Il blog funziona, entro regolarmente nella bacheca e provando le varie voci del menu ho notato che la voce STRUMENTI non porta a nulla, va in errore con una schermata che dice:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@artoong.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Tutto il resto sembra funzionare a meraviglia, qualcuno mi può aiutare?

reinstallare tutti i file di WP usando FTP… sto plugin è una mania, si risparmiamno 2 minuti rispetto a farlo a mano e vedo che fa più danni che altro.

Ok, seguo il tuo consiglio, non è che mi puoi indicare un semplice tutorial (una lista scritta va benissimo) di passi per reinstallare WP senza fare casini?

Sul forum c’è sicuramente una guida. Comunque basta tu cancelli i files della 2.7 dalla tua installazione di WordPress escluso il file wp-config.php e la cartella wp-content e ricarichi nuovamente il tutto via FTP. Disattiva prima i plugin attivi e metti come tema quello di default. Prova un pò… poi se quel plugin ha fatto altri danni non saprei dirti.

1) disabilita tutti i plugin
2) imposta il tema di default
3) ti fai il backup del DB
4) ti fai il backup di tutti i file che hai sullo spazio web
5) cancelli tutti i file dallo spazio web
6) carichi tutti i file di wp 2.7 via ftp
7) lanci l’installazione dalla pagina web, fornendogli tutti i dati che ti chiede per la connessione al DB
(ti dirà che WP è già installato e terminerà con un errore, ma intanto ha generato un nuovo config.php con il modello attuale usato da WP 2.7)
ti copi in locale il config.php (per evenienze future) e lo completi con altri dati che ti possono servire (esempio per l’aggiornamento automatico su server aruba e le quattro chiavi per la sicurezza), naturalmente se lo modifichi devi sostituirlo a quello online.
9) ricarichi la pagina del blog, ti chiederà di fare l’update del DB, se non lo ha già fatto quel plugin.
10) Controlli che tutto funzioni con l’installazione base, quindi che non ci siano problemi dovuti a permessi sballati o file mancanti.
11) quando l’installazione base funziona bene carichi i tuoi plugin e li attivi uno alla volta, controllando che funzionino correttamente e non abbiano conflitti tra di loro.
12) carichi il tuo tema e controlli che funzioni adeguatamente, eventualmente apportare le modifiche necessarie.
13) vivi felice… ricordandoti i backup periodici, soprattutto prima di fare qualsiasi aggiornamento anche (e soprattutto) se automatico.
