Ciao ragazzi
Ho provato in ogni modo da me conosciuto a modificare lo sfondo di una singola pagine del template; l’unico modo valido è stato installando un plug in; però questa soluzione non mi soddisfa perché non mi permette di imparare;
Sto cercando quindi di capire come viene associato un file di stile css, style.css al relativo php, non so quale, che si occupa di generare l’html formatato, e come aggiungere il codice per personalizzare la singola pagina di sfondo
Sono riuscito a creare un duplicato di index.php rinominato in template1.php e a sostituire questo come template personalizzato nella pagina; non so come però evidentemente essendo una copia prende cmq gli stili, immagino, sempre da index.php originale e quindi da style.css.
ho creato un file di stile chiamato template1.css e non ho idea di come associarlo a template1.php

Non devi mai modificare il tema originale, ma creare un child-theme e lଠfare le modifiche necessarie.
Una volta che avrai il foglio stile nel tema child, quello che ti permette di fatto di creare il child-theme, inserirai lଠle regole modificate che andranno a sovrascrivere quelle esistenti nel tema padre o ne inserirai di nuove create da te per quello o un altro template, in cui ovviamente definirai div con classi o id con cui poter poi dare lo stile nel foglio stile.
Non esiste dunque “associazione” come la intendi tu, ma devi studiare come funzionano i CSS.
