ciao, mi ritrovo di fronte il problema che dopo l’installazione del plugin in questione i tag di wp vengono inseriti comunque come keywords, cosa che non vorrei e che mi costringe a trovare compromessi.
forse ignoro un pò anche la funzione dei tag, sono le prime battute su wp e vengo principalmente dal mondo dei siti e non dei blog, ma c’è un modo per risolvere questo fastidioso problema?

Non e’ colpa del plugin o di wordpress. Questa e’ una questione annosa sulla quale si sono sprecati fiumi di pagine sulle serp. Bisogna essere consapevoli dei limiti di questo CMS e prevenire prima di dover curare.
Le regole fondamentali IMHO:
1 – Non creare mai categorie con lo stesso slug di un tag
2 – Non creare mai tag con lo stesso slug di una categoria
3 – Non creare mai titoli di post uguali o con lo stesso slug di una categoria, un tags o il titolo del blog.
4 – Non associare mai keywords uguali o simili, con lo stesso slug di una categoria, un tag, o il titolo di un post.
Diverso e’ invece il discorso per l’ottimizzazione SEO della home …

si sei stato molto utile. mi pare però molto difficile. se credo un post sui giochi per bambini è molto probabile che avrò una categoria bambini o giochi, che la tagghi con bambini e giochi, che nel titolo compaia “giochi per bambini” e che nelle keywords metta giochi e bambini. Mi sembra tutto cosଠaffannato…
Fatico al momento a comprendere cosa sia meglio quindi, ripeto, non ho esperienza sui blog. Meglio quindi che compaiano i miei tag giochi e bambini? (che compariranno cmq anche nelle keywords creandomi doppioni di parole chiave o simili) O è meglio non avere i tag ma avere keywords più appropriate. Forse considerando l’importanza delle keywords ultimamente è meglio la prima soluzione. Se non ho capito male i blog ricevono un grande flusso proprio dai tag… Rimane comunque difficoltoso non creare tag e categorie uguali e mantere dei tag che non diventino delle frasi, perdendo cosଠil loro scopo.

se parli di giochi per bambini e citi che ne so Lego, Mattel e BigJim queste sono tre candidati ai tag poi l’articolo sta sotto la categoria bambini e giochi e nel titolo puoi pure avere uan cosa del tipo I giocattoli preferiti dai fanciulli (e cosଠmagari eviti di usare bambini e giochi nel titolo).
Poi alla fine quel che conta davvero sono i contenuti… le finezze servono per siti in alta competitività con altri.

Ciò che fondamentalmente mi chiedevo è se è possibile fare si che i tag non vengano inseriti tra le keywords.

Guarda, dal punto di vista di un “neofito di wordpress” il tuo punto di vista potrebbe anche essere legittimo. Del resto l’informatica, spece quella applicata ad internet e la sua programmazione non e’ approssimativa o deduttiva ma solo nozionistica. Nel senso che ci sono delle regole che vanno rispettate. Quelle sono e non cambiano. Non ci sono discorsi o deduzioni che tengano. Non so’ come dire … sono regole! Vanno rispettate e applicate come tali: alla lettera. Un po’ come la matematica o la grammatica, seppur con le loro mille eccezzioni, ma quelle sono e quelle restano. Un po come la prova del nove non e’ che si puo’ dissertare o filosoffeggiare su di essa per arrangiarsela in base al proprio caso … la si fa e’ uguale per tutti e non ci sono ne se ne ma. Il risultato corretto e’ sempre uno solo.
Ora non e’ che si puo’ pretendere che un plugin faccia cio’ che “da solo” non puo’ fare! –
Ogniuno e’ libero di agire come crede, quindi anche di non seguire “certe regole” ma e’ altrettanto ragionevole che poi non se ne lamenti. –
Ad esempio l’approccio che ti ha suggerito Steve e’ molto piu’ corretto e logico, rispetto a quello di basarsi sulle keywords o “l’istinto e l’istintivita’” del contenuto del tipo di post.
Se inserisci le stesse chiavi nei titoli, nelle categorie e nei tag avrai sempre i meta desccriptions e keywords doppi e duplicati. Non e’ che si possa fare diversamente o un plugin possa intervenire facendo qualcosa! L’unica cosa che potrebbe fare e’ cancellare il record doppio o rinominarlo, ma si appoggerebbe sempre ad una lista di nomi che lo stesso admin gli crea … Capisci cosa intendo dire?

La cosa piu’ importante su wordpress e del suo ranking da parte dei motori sono i tags ed i contenuti. I tags, che al massimo per avere buoni risultati devono essere di tre parole separate dal segno “-” devono essere unici e dare subito l’idea del contenuto del post il quale a sua volta deve essere abbastanza curato unico, descrittivo, con immagini ben taggate (non piu’ di un paio prima e dopo il salto, un paio di links esterni per non essere considerato spam e non troppi video che i motori non indicizzano e sfasano la validazione, altra cosa importatntissima. Infatti un blog non validato e’ peggio e piu’ deprecabile di una home non ottimizzata … Le categorie hanno invece un’importanza minima infatti non a caso le ultime tendenze sono di non includerle piu’ o affatto nei permalinks. Il titolo e’ abbastanza importante ma non fondamentale: non deve essere piu’ lungo di 60 caratteri + ” | nome del glog” caratteri che per ottenere risultati apprezzabili non deve contenere oltre a duplicati o doppioni parole inutili tipo: di, a, da in, con, su, per, tra, fra (e quant’altro assimilabile) … ricordi la regoletta delle elementari? Le keywords non hanno piu’ nessuna importanza se non per la home! I motori non le considerano quasi piu’ basando le loro scelte sul contenuto del post e del suo excerpt nonche’ la sua meta descriptions.
Va da se’ quindi che tutti questi elementi debbano essere tutti diversi fra loro per non avere duplicati.
Cosa che ripeto un plugin “da solo” non puo’ fare! –

Da ciò che dite e dalle mie conoscenze seo e usabilità direi che le soluzioni adottabili sono 3:

eliminare dal plug la possibilità di inserire keywords vista la loro poca importanza a dispetto dei tags. Creare duplicati nelle keywords potrebbe fare più danni che altro, considerando poi l’importanza che hanno per i motori….
l
fare un lavoraccio in più cercando di far si che i tag scelti (che verranno poi inseriti come keywords) siano diversi dalle keywords a mio avviso più appropriate. Non mi è chiaro ciò che hai detto circa la separazione con “-“, io avrei lasciato spazi vuoti…
l
soluzione più impegnativa: capire la parte di codice che prende i tags e li implementa nel metatag keywords ed eliminarla.

… direi che questa sia la migliore … l’adottano quasi tutti quelli con PR da 5 in su’

Ok, grazie del consiglio sLa. Ritengo si perda qualcosa perchè dei doppioni ci saranno comunque (i tag son tag e trattarli come keywords è molto difficile. Ultimamente le keywords sono più delle keyphrase, mentre i tag è più giusto siano composti da una sola parola dove possibile), ma mi pare la soluzione più semplice anche a me. Magari studiano bene il post si può perdere un pochino di tempo ma ottenendo risultati migliori.

E’ proprio l’esatto opposto!
Ti faccio l’esempio che ho fatto un paio di settimane fa in una relazione risultata molto apprezzata …
Secondo le ultime indicazioni di Google una ricerca affidabile e produttiva che porta a risultati soddisfacenti e mirati deve essere composta da almeno 3 chiavi di ricerca.
Facciamo l’esempio di ‘Super+Max+Turbo’ quel “ciuschi” inutile e ridicolo (indegno perfino del mitico Doraemon) che vendono in tv di notte …
Se esegui in rete un semplice ricerca con le sole tre parole, ad esempio su google it, Super Max Turbo ti accorgerai subito che nel box di imputazione dopo aver scritto prima “Super” e poi “Max” la lista delle possibili combinazioni suggerite si affina notevolmente restringendosi sostanzialmente a due: la prima con 480.000 pagine di risultati e’ quella con anche “Turbo”, quindi quella con tre parole e/o chiavi, mentre la seconda e’ quella con due parole e/o chiavi “Supermax” e “Turbo” con solo, si fa per dire, 68.000 pagine di risultati.
Bene! Ora:
1 – Se analizziamo i primi tre risultati nella prima pagina, come si fa di solito in questi casi, ti accorgerai come in tutti e due i casi, ossia con le due e tre parole e/o chiavi, il sito che realmente lo vende e’ al primo posto.
2 – Se analizziamo i primi tre risultati nella prima pagina, con le due parole e/o chiavi, in seconda posizione troviamo un blog, quindi un risultato meno significatico dal punto di vista della ricerca di un possibile prodotto commerciale per il quale si cercano informazioni.
3 – Se analizziamo i primi tre risultati nella prima pagina, con le tre parole e/o chiavi, in seconda posizione troviamo answers di yahoo (per giunta in italiano) dove gli utenti si cambiano domande e risposte proprio su quel prodotto, quindi un risultato piu’ significatico dal punto di vista della ricerca di un possibile prodotto commerciale per il quale si cercano informazioni.
Cio’ dimostra che le raccomandazioni di google sulle tre parole e/o chiavi sono da ritenersi corrette e che la ricerca con tre parole e/o chiavi produce risultati piu’ significativi rispetto a quella con due.
Ma non e’ finita qua’.
Analizzando meglio, proprio quel blog che apparentemente non c’entra nulla, non e’ li a caso ma hanno cercato di posizionarcelo sapientemente e per “culo” ci sono anche riusciti, ma commettendo gli stessi errori che faresti tu: chiavi doppie duplicate nel titolo, nella descrizione e nei tags che si trasformano in keywords … sperando che il plugin faccia il miracolo ma non e’ cosi’ e questa ne e’ la dimostrazone lampante … ottimizzando potrebbero anche salire di posizione.
Scavando ci si accorge pero’ che qualcosa di buono lo hanno fatto inserendo sia nel titolo (meta title) del post presente nello snippet del search, le tre parole e/o chiavi come raccomandato da google, nei suoi primi 50/60 caratteri e le stesse tre parole sono presenti nella prima riga della descrizione (meta descriptions) e le stesse tre parole sono presenti nello slug del post stesso (il permalink). Inoltre a livello di codice di wordpress non ci sono duplicati perche’ i tags sono tutti con il “-” e che quindi si trasformano in keywords che non vanno in conflitto fra loro con le categorie il titolo o il permalink e anche dal lato search risultano differenti: infatti per google “super max turbo” e’ diverso da “super-max-turbo”. Il primo rappresenta una keyword il secondo un tag.
Ed e’ proprio li che hanno fatto leva per “scalare” la serp “ancorandosi” ad una chiave importante e sicura da 480.000 risultati che porta traffico senza fare quasi nulla per mantenerla!
Ma cosa dovrebbero fare per ottimizzare al meglio?
1 – Modificare il permalink di wordpress al solo /postname/ o al massimo /category/postname/ per avere il risultato “blog/nome-del-post/” oppure blog/nomedellacategoria/nome-del-post/
2 – Creare solo categorie con nome singolo, quindi anche chiave e/o keyword singola, del tipo nomedellacategoria e solo in quel formato
3 – Creare solo tags con tre parole, quindi anche chiavi e/o keywords multiple complilanti le specifiche di google, o al massimo due parole e/o keywords ove non si rendesse possibile farne tre
4 – Non inserire MAI tags o categorie nel titolo o nella descrizione ma solo parole singole ovviamente diverse da quelle usate per le categorie ed i tags
5 – Non inserire mai piu’ di 5 tags in un post in modo che assieme alla categoria ed eventuale sottocategoria ed altro non risultino piu’ di 10 meta keywords che google potrebbe considerare spam e scartare penalizzando il sito
A quel punto sarebbero in prima posizione usando ad esempio:
– Come categoria: mediashopping (slug mediashopping)
– Come tags: Super Max Turbo (slug super-max-turbo) Supermax Turbo (slug supermax-turbo) Cintura Massaggiante (slug cintura-massaggiante) ed altri tag singoli super supermax max turbo media shopping
Il risultato sarebbero 10 parole e/o chiavi nette trasformate dal plugin in 10 keywords usando le categosie ed i tags esistenti dal rendimendo e rank ottimi, sempre se abbinati alla qualita’ del resto, ma soprattutto senza doppioni o duplicati deprecabili!
mediashopping, super max turbo, supermax turbo, cintura massaggiante, media, shopping, super, supermax, max, turbo
Nel caso specifico il titolo, la descrizione e lo slug del permalink esistenti vanno bene cosi’ come sono, quindi avrebbero una posizione nella serp ancorata meglio e piu’ solida nel tempo.
p.s. … tra l’altro usano proprio un plugin dove basterebbe settare di non agiungere categorie e tags alle keywords … solo che a quel punto non avrebbero keywords e non sarebbero nella serp in prima pagina nelle prime tre posizioni … IMHO

mhhh… alcune cose non mi tornano.
A parte che mi pare dicessimo la stessa cosa, cioè che le keyphrase son meglio delle keywords…
Pare che i blog abbiano un modo diverso di essere indicizzati e un minimo ci sta, ma alcuni contesti rimangono quelli credo.
due cose:
inserire una decina di keywords sarebbe a mio avviso una penalità : il tag keywords ha un certo potenziale e più si inseriscono keywords più questo potenziale viene diviso tra loro diminuendone il peso.
alcuni contesti sembrano contrari alla normale indicizzazione e non capisco perchè. Se titoli, keywords, description e testo hanno una parola chiave comune generalmente quella parola ha un grosso valore (sia chiaro se ben indicizzato), nei blog questo sembra una pecca.
Infine dipende anche dal motore di ricerca (il migliore a mio avviso rimane yahoo perchè fa quello che dovrebbe fare un motore di ricerca e in tempi celeri).
Ormai si ragiona solo in termini di google, ma ho visto google posizionare al primo posto per degli anni dei siti che a mio avviso dovrebbero essere bannati. primi solo perchè in menu lunghissimi inserivano sempre la stessa parola, all’infinito, ancora e ancora…. oppure siti che sfruttano i testi nascosti o tecniche tipo: “questa pagina è indicizzata con le seguenti parole:…”
assurdo a mio avviso. Google detta le regole ma non è che le rispetti tanto… è il solito problema di quando c’è monopolio…
Ultima cosa:
quindi c’è differenza tra una frase che unisce parole con il “-” e una che nn lo fa? Dovrò documentarmi meglio allora.

Non sempre e’ cosi’: quelli ne hanno a bizzeffe di keywords anche doppie e si sono posizionati benino nella serp
goole VS yahoo: IMHO il primo e’ troppo tanto il secondo e’ troppo poco! Meglio MSN … pardon Bing.
P.S. la stessa ricerca su yahoo descritta sopra da’ gli stessi risultati anzi: elimina il suo stesso answers dai risultati …

Non e’ affatto una pecca. Se tutto e’ fatto bene senza doppioni e duplicati non lo e’ affatto. Bisogna sempre tenere presente che un blog e’ anche un sito quindi va’ ottimizzato sia dal lato classico sito (legacy) che da quello nuovo blog (dinamico) senza che ovviamente confliggano fra loro. Inoltre “questa condizione” che ripeto non e’ affatto una pecca, deve essere regolata anche con il robots.txt impedendo l’accesso a tutto quello che non e’ bene o necessario un crawler acceda o venga a conoscenza: feed compresi!
