Salve,
sto usando la versione 2.3.2 di WP da un pò di mesi.
Ho settato, a suo tempo, tra le opzioni di WP, “basato su data e nome” per avere l’url strutturato in questo modo ed eliminare punti interrogativi e coppie nome valore agevolando anche l’indicizzazione di google.
Domanda: per creare questo tipo di struttura di url, WP si serve del mod_rewrite?

primo, aggiorna al più presto alla 2.6 passando prima per la 2.3 perchè la versione che utilizzi di wordpress è molto buggata e la compromissione del blog è solo questione di tempo.

cercherò al più presto di aggiornare WP per scongiurare brutte sorprese.

quindi ci vuole mod_rewrite,
però l’hosting su cui si trova il blog non lo fornisce questo modulo,
motivandolo per ragioni di sicurezza.
Come si spiega?

non lo so, lo offrono praticamente tutti, quindi se vuoi un consiglio cambia hosting.

Si spiega con l’incompetenza dei system administrator di quell’hoster… io seguirei il consiglio di Wolly, se danno queste risposte mi preoccuperei della loro competenza per quando capitassero problemi seri.

no, intendevo come si spiega che pur non essendoci il mod_rewrite l’url viene modificato.

sul wiki ho trovato che è possibile aggirare la mancanza del mod_rewrite:
Per i permalink in generale, devi usare mod_rewrite, che però non è supportato dai server Windows. Se però inserisci il nome di un file all’inizio, WordPress tenterà di passare gli argomenti alla pagina e di aggirare la necessità del mod_rewrite.
/index.php/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
Se usi questa opzione, puoi ignorare tranquillamente la creazione del file .htaccess.
però gli url del mio blog non hanno il nome di un file all’inizio, quindi il dubbio mi rimane.

no, linux, pero’ immagino che la cosa valga anche per questo OS.
