Ciao a tutti !
Ho letto varie fonti a riguardo, ho provato a seguire i libri, ma alla fine non funzionava mai niente.
Errori miei o meno, mi rivolgo a voi in cerca di aiuto.
Faccio siti in aree di test e una volta definiti devo spostarli sul server e all’indirizzo del cliente.
Quindi inizialmente i miei siti sono in aree di test con indirizzi articolati e che sicuramente non centrano niente con l’indirizzo finale e ufficiale.
Al di fuori di dover comunque adattare tutti i link assoluti nel momento di pubblicazione ufficiale, volevo sapere se è possibile spostare un intero sito wordpress su un altro server, con nome database, nome utente, e dominio differente.
Da quel che ho capito la funzione importa, esporta che troviamo negli strumenti di wordpress non è il massimo, soprattutto per siti un poco complicati, ho provato quindi a utilizzare phpmyadmin che è l’unico che ho a disposizione sui miei hosting e che comunque un po’ conosco, ma alla fine della fiera non ho ottenuto risultati.
Sto chiedendo troppo o è un operazione possibile ? Faccio prima a ricostruirlo completamente sul dominio del cliente ?
Vi ringrazio per l’eventuale attenzione e aiuto, sono proprio in difficoltà non essendo io assolutamente un tecnico.

..sono proprio in difficoltà non essendo io assolutamente un tecnico
Non sono un meccanico e neanche un chirurgo. E non mi è mai venuto in mente di riparare automobili od operare qualcuno.
Comunque se leggi il Wiki e cerchi nel forum trovi spiegato per filo e per segno come spostare un’installazione di WordPress da locale a remoto.

Grazie per la risposta. Andrò a dare un occhiata.
Ma due precisazioni:
1) Non si puo parlare di progetti di lavoro ? Non ho letto il regolamento ( e nemmeno lo trovo ) ma posso tranquillamente riproporre la domanda in chiave hobbistica.
2) Se seguissi la tua logica su meccanica e chirurgia dovrei dedurre che dopo la prima elementare avrei dovuto considerare conclusa la mia formazione

Prego.
1) Non so se ci sia o non una regola ma non è che mi interessi poi tanto; personalmente mi sono preso la libertà di NON dare dritte gratuite a chi poi utilizzerà i miei suggerimenti per il proprio lavoro (retribuito).
Ovviamente chiunque potrebbe postare richieste ad uso amatoriale anche se in realtà non si tratta di questo (sta a me intercettare la cosa).
2) La mia logica sta a significare solamente i risultati che otterrà colui che affida la realizzazione del proprio sito web al primo che capita; specie quando quest’ultimo si presenta come professionista.. Non dico che il professionista non abbia da risolvere delle problematiche con WordPress, ma queste saranno complesse, e non delle baggianate, come quella di non saper spostare il CMS ed i contenuti da locale a remoto.

kikkikawa devi sapere che perdo una marea di tempo a spiegare a clienti di “professionisti” che non sanno neanche spostare un sito che no, non gli rifacciamo il lavoro gratis perché si sono rivolti a “professionisti” che non sanno neanche spostare un sito e che se proprio vogliono devono pagare e poi rimangono con siti fatti male, non sicuri e poco funzionanti.
Non è vietato chiedere aiuto per progetti commerciali ma, ci aspettiamo che siano cose serie non questo tipo di informazioni che tra le altre cose sono spiegate su questo sito e basterebbe una semplicissima ricerca.

Per la gioia di wolly e san pietro !
Sto giochicchiando coi server, phpmyadmin etc etc…
Premettendo che ho gia spostato un sito di wordpress per prova mesi orsono, mi è rimasto però un dubbio:
nella pagina di phpmyadmin relativa all’esportazione, quali sono realmente i checkbox da flaggare per esportare un database
per wordpress ? Ve lo chiedo perchè ogni libro o forum che leggo ha la sua versione e presenta info diverse riguardo a cosa selezionare e cosa no. Essendoci molte variabili credo sia poco saggio andare a caso.
Al di fuori del guardare il wiki o chessoio ( ho gia guardato la guida su come cambiare server ) volevo un parere dato dall’esperienza.
Se poi non vi va di rispondermi fa nulla !

Esatto, ed è quello che ho fatto io.
Nel momento di importarlo però in un altro phpmyadmin non funzionava.
Ho dovuto flaggare anche “add IF NOT EXIST” e allora ha funzionato.
Teniamo conto che io non ho un server nudo e crudo ma utilizzo un servizio di hosting ( credo non si possan fare nomi )
Ho dovuto procedere quindi in maniera leggermente diversa, e per questo ho chiesto a voi.
E’ un po una stranezza

Avevo gia spostato un sito wordpress tra due domini register con successo ( a parte qualche widget perso per strada ), il problema (e questo post) è nato nel momento in cui dovevo spostare un sito da register a un server “normale/privato” , non appoggiato da nessun servizio di hosting ( essendo io abituato a muovermi attraverso le funzioni di register e non direttamente sul server).
Mi chiedevo se quel flag in più poteva creare problemi o se posso tranquillamente utilizzarlo.

if not exist ripristana solo se non esiste già la tabella, quindi non è da utilizzare nel caso dello spostamento.

Per ora non è ancora pronto quindi resto in attesa.

Stasera comunque provo per la prima volta a creare un server LAMP. Vediamo che disastri combino. eheh

Dunque ho creato un server ubuntu linux, messo mycrypt, phpmyadmin, e tutto l’impianto lamp.
Ho spostato il sito e il database.
Purtroppo riscontro il seguente problema :
al di fuori di perdere qualche widget o funzionalita speciale dovuta al tema ( è un tema commerciale )
che è una cosa che capita e che ho messo in conto, mi accade invece di avere tutto in ordine all’interno
del pannello di amministrazione ( pagine, articoli, qualche widget, menu personalizzati si vedono e ci sono) ma nel
momento di navigare effettivamente nel sito, funziona solo la home. Se quindi mi muovo da una pagina all’altra mi da errore “NOT FOUND” . Come se in realta, a differenza di quel che si vede nell’amministrazione, non esista nulla.
L’unica cosa che non ho ben fatto, è la configurazione del file config.inc.php di phpmyadmin, in quanto mi risultava piuttosto ostica da comprendere. Ma visto che poi phpmyadmin andava comunque, non mi sono fatto problemi e ho continuato.
Mi potete aiutare per favore ? è piuttosto incasinato !

devi chiedere supporto nei forum del server che utilizzi, non ha nulla a che fare con WordPress.
Il not found, molto probabilmente, è dovuto alla mancanza di url rewrite che non avrai abilitato.

Mi dispiace per come è iniziato il topic e per gli interventi malevoli a me indirizzati, ma la situazione era molto diversa rispetto a quella che avete immaginato e giudicato. Non a caso ho sorvolato.
