Salve, premetto che sono un principiante e che ho installato wordpress su aruba pur avendo un server windows. Il blog è installato dentro la cartella public e funziona benissimo.
Ho scoperto casualmente che il problema è dato dalla versione del php che se non è 4.4 non è compatibile con wordpress, infatti stavo installando wordpress su un altro dominio windows su aruba acquistato recentemente e purtroppo non riesco ad effettuare l’installazione poichè vedo le pagine senza grafica, vedo cioè una pagina bianca con testo in html. Infatti negli ultimi server di aruba è già in corso la versione 5.2.5. Il problema dovrebbe essere questo altrimenti non si capisce perchè su un server windows funziona e su un altro server windows no. Ho letto le applicazioni vietate da aruba e su server windows wordpress non fa parte della lista, si può quindi usare. Se volete fare una prova e vedere il blog funzionante l’indirizzo è : http://www.millevetrine.com entrare nella sezione vetrine e quindi in una delle 5 zone di roma.

Comunicazione ufficile di aruba su server windows NON si può installare wordpress.
Il problema non è il php il problema è la configurazione dei server.
Il link che ho messo stikkato è esplicativo.
Mi hanno anche confermato che provvederanno a modificare anche la lista delle applicazioni non consentite.
Sono in tanti che riescono a farlo a funzionare più o meno ma il server windows di ARUBA è assolutamente sconsigliato evitiamo per favore di dare informazioni che poi porteranno altri ad installare wordpress su server windows per poi venire a chiedere assistenza impossibile da dare.
Se nonostante tutto questo non ci credi ancora apri un ticket e chiedi a loro.

Wolly, mi dispiace aver creato tanta confusione. Sono il primo a dispiacermene. Non volevo in alcun modo offenderti e il mio post aveva l’intenzione semmai di aiutare qualcuno. Non volevo vantarmi del fato di esserci riuscito volevo solo testimoniare che funzionava. Per quanto riguarda la lista io non avendo visto wordpress ho creduto fosse possibile…..poi tra l’altro ha anche funzionato..quindi ti chiedo scusa ancora…….

non devi scusarti di nulla, ho creato un post stikkato dove c’è scritto tutto.
La guida per instalalre in public c’è nel wiki ma ripeto poi avrai molti altri problemi NON risolvibili e poi ripeto aruba considera wordpress applicazione vietata su server windows.

Grazie, ora puoi darmi un consiglio? Io adesso come dovre comportarmi con aruba? Ho messo su un blog da circa un mese e tutto il materiale inserito che fine farà ??? Se fra poco tempo vieteranno wordpress che soluzione posso adottare? Pensi che abbia un po’ di diritto ad incazzarmi?

non hai nessun diritto ad incazzarti con aruba perchè se vedi nel post stikkato loro lo dicono da anni.
aruba non ti cancella nessun dato.
Dei dati spero tu faccia regolarmente i backup
Su questo forum abbiamo scritto milioni di volte di installare wordpress su server linux.
Aruba ti blocca lo spazio web solo se crea problemi all’hosting e non mi risulta lo abbia mai fatto con wordpress anche se ad un nostro utente ha risposto chiaramente che wordpress era applicazione vietata ma non sappiamo cosa sia successo dopo.
Il suggerimento che diamo sempre è solo uno cambia in spazio linux.
Il cambio in fase di rinnovo è gratuito se non sei in fase di rinnovo devi pagare un una tantum.

Hai ragione Wolly, mi sono letto tutta la documentazione di aruba ed in effetti è proprio cosà¬. Il fatto è che delle volte presi dall’euforia non si vuole perdere troppo tempo a leggere tutto…… anche perchè se si leggesse tutto non finiremmo mai. Comunque credo proprio a questo punto che chi voglia usare wordpress con aruba debba farlo solo su hosting linux e chi come me ce l’ha su windows…. deve mettersi in testa di prepararsi a spostarlo tanto ho visto che il doppio hosting costa solo 10 euro in più all’anno……..

in realtà i 10 euro sono un una tantum che spendi solo se non fai la conversione alla scadenza.
Non ha senso avere il dominio windows/linux perchè cmq puoi attivarne uno solo alla volta e non ti serve a meno che tu non abbia anche applcazioni in asp.

Io ho optato per un server windows-linux. Sulla parte windows ho installato il forum (che è in ASP), mentre in quella linux ho installato WordPress. E tutto va alla grande.

sergio tu hai fatto la scelta corretta proprio perchè usi anche del sw in asp come dicevo io e per questo aruba è fantastica per il doppio hosting in contemporanea.

Ecco, per amor del vero mi sarebbe piaciuto che ci fosse lo stesso nome a dominio.
Mi spiego.
Il sito (su server Linux) è http://www.farwest.it e si appoggia alla piattaforma WordPress. Il forum, invece, è su win.farwest.it/forum e non c’è stata possibilità – stando sulla parte Windows – di avere la parte iniziale “www”.
Poco male, per carità !

potresti informarti se puoi creare un sottodominio che punta a allo spazio win.
nel caso l’indirizzo sarebbe forum.farwest.it, come tra poco succederà su wp-it.
