Salve a tutti,
ho dovuto eliminare la vecchia installazione di WP a causa di un attacco hacker ad opera di MoroccanWolf (andate a dare un’occhiata sul web!!). Ho ovviamente fatto il backup cosi da avere contenuti, immagini etc da poter ripristinare.
La mia domanda è: è possibile recuperare SOLO i vecchi contenuti da inserire in una installazione pulita di WP? e se si, come si fa?

Non colgo il senso della domanda. Se hai un backup totale hai tutti i contenuti, scegli tu quali usare o ripristinare.

a me interessa ripristinare – come detto – articoli, pagine, media del tema che avevo modificato ma su una installazione “pulita” di WP

Il ripristino dipende da come hai fatto il backup.
Se l’hai fatto manualmente (ad es., file .sql del database con phpMyAdmin e file sul server via FTP) li ripristini manualmente, importando il file .sql in un nuovo database (dovrai poi cambiare i dati di connessione) o cancellando le vecchie tabelle se usi il vecchio – assicurati di avere davvero il backup del database, che sia funzionante, e di saper usare phpMyAdmin – e sul server via FTP la cartella uploads per quanto riguarda le immagini.
Se invece hai usato il tool export di WP (esportando TUTTI i contenuti), usi il tool import di WP.
Se hai usato qualcos’altro, seguendo le istruzioni di questo qualcos’altro.
Gli altri file (tema, WP, plugin…) dovrai scaricarli di nuovo dal web se li vuoi puliti.

Ho esportato con backupbuddy ma vorrei, proprio per mantenere la nuova installazione pulita, fare tutto manualmente!

Per quanto riguarda Backupbuddy invece devi rivolgerti al venditore perché noi non forniamo assistenza sui prodotti commerciali.

Sono riuscito a risolvere parzialmente il problema.
Ho scaricato e installato WP in FTP. Dal backup ho ripreso la cartella “uploads” e “themes” ed ora riesco a raggiungere il “vecchio” sito da cui son partito.
Nel file wp-config. ho inserito il nome del db, user e password di partenza…
Il problema adesso è che non ho i vecchi contenuti nonostante abbia importato il vecchio sql che avevo backuppato!
Quale è adesso il mistero!?

Ho cercato di ripristinare l’.sql che avevo – creato da backupbuddy – importandolo via phpmyadmin ma non mi da i vecchi contenuti…

Se hai fatto il backup dopo l’attacco hacker, aver rimosso il database e volerlo rimettere non ha alcun senso, inoltre ti è già stato detto di leggerti le istruzioni di quel plugin premium che, dopo avergli dato un’occhiata velocemente, prevedono il suo utilizzo per fare il restore e tra le sue funzioni c’è anche quella di pulire il database da eventuali malware. Tutte cose che avresti dovuto fare tu. Invece di dirci andare a vedere su internet le pagine di quel hacker se tu ci fossi andato avresti visto che su wordpress bastava rimuovere un codice malware in una determinata tabella per ripristinare il tutto.
Se non riesci a risolvere da solo rivolgiti al supporto di quel plugin, noi non possiamo farci, tranne dirti che chi vuole gestire dei siti deve saper gestire i disaster recovery per cui è imperativo che abbia sempre a disposizione dei backup del server e del database fatti ad intervalli regolari.
