Un mio cliente ha aggiornato da solo il suo wordpress (dannate manacce), dopo questo aggiornamento (che lui sostiene essere andato senza intoppi) non riesce più a pubblicare nulla.
Andando a sbirciare su tophost ho scoperto che il suo Database pesa 21MB contro i 5 consentiti dall’hosting. Il suo blog ha articoli relativamente brevi e pochissimi commenti (a questo link potete avere una panoramica http://imagebin.org/194762 ) dite che il peso del db è realmente cresciuto dopo l’aggiornamento o che sia colpa dei troppi articoli? Cosa mi consigliate per far dimagrire il db?

La versione di WordPress che stai usando
La 3.3.1, la versione precedente non la conosco.

Alle informazioni mancano tre dati essenziali:
1. Quanti articoli e pagine ha pubblicato in tutto? (il dato lo si legge nella bacheca quando ci si logga).
2. Sono mai state cancellate in passato le revisioni?
3. Quali sono le tabelle del database più grandi, e che dimensione hanno? (questo lo si legge loggandosi nel phpmyAdmin e osservando tutte le tabelle).

se sei su top host aumenta lo spazio nel database, ci vorranno un po’ di ore prima che l’aumento sia attivato.
Poi fai manutenzione al database.
PS: sconsiglio di utlizzare top host per clienti, va bene per il sitarello di un ragazzino e basta.
