Ho un problema “storico” con wp che mi tiro dietro da parecchio tempo e di cui ho già discusso (senza soluzione) su questo forum e aprendo un ticket con l’assistenza di Aruba.
Il problema è nell’embedding di immagini caricate con il Media Uploader di WordPress che, nel momento in cui clicco su “Inserisci nell’articolo”, mi restituisce una finestra bianca.
Ovviamente ho fatto tutte le prove del caso (disattivare i plugin, tema di default, reinstallazione completa, ecc) ma senza successo.
Replicando il sito in locale (installazione pulita) e copiando il mio dbase originario ho riprodotto l’errore.
Ripartendo da capo e incollando piccole porzioni di dbase e provando la funzionalità di inserimento ho, alla fine, individuato la tabella che genera il problema e che è la wp-options.
La tabella è ricca delle aggiunte di tutti i plugin in uso e non che con il tempo ho installato e non so bene quale sia il modo migliore di procedere per trovare la riga incriminata ed eliminarla.
Pensavo di cancellare tutte le righe relative ai plugin e rimetterle un pò per volta provando, di volta in volta, la funzionalità di inserimento fino al verificarsi dell’errore.
Ovviamente non rimetterei le righe relative ai plugin disattivati e quindi potrebbe accadere che il problema non si verifichi affatto …
Avete qualche suggerimento operativo per migliorare questa mia procedura?

puoi fare in questo modo:
esporti i tuoi articoli e commenti con la funzione standard di wordpress.
Fai ovvviamente un backup del database.
Cancelli completamente il database.
Rifai l’instalalzione di wordpress
Importi il file di esportazione, riattivi i plugin e riconfiguri il blog.
Ora avrai una wp-options perfetta

Grazie Wolly, era una delle possibilità che avevo preso in considerazione.
Alternativamente pensavo di generare una wp_options pulita in locale e sostituirla con quella sul sito.
Domanda: che succede ai plugin installati?
Si settano tutti come non attivi e se li riattivo mi richiedono le info (configurazione) eventualmente cancellate?

Credo che questo problema me lo porterò fino a WordPress 3.0 quando magari il sistema di inserimento delle immagini verrà nuovamente cambiato …
Le prove che ho fatto:
1. ho tolto (identificandole a mano/occhio/con l’aiuto di internet) tutte le righe da wp_options che si riferivano a plugin che non usavo più –> problema rimasto
2. ho cancellato tutta wp_options e rifatto l’upgrade di Wp –> wp_options ricreata correttamente ma problema rimasto!
3. ho modificato il file wp-config.php specificando un altro dbase. Facendo l’upgrade wp ha creato tutto un bel dbase pulito (vuoto) ma … -> problema rimasto!
Nel frattempo ho:
-aggiornato a wp 2.6.2
(con la vostra procedura di installazione “pulita”)
-generato due problemi nel blog:
–a) tutte le (poche) pagine si sono trasformate in articoli: come posso trasformare (portandomi appresso i commenti) un articolo in pagina?
–b) il plugin “in serie” ha avuto la sua tabella corrotta. Sto pensando di passare ad “Organize In series” …

posso consigliarti solo di andare a lourdes
A parte gli scherzi ho 4 blog su aruba e non ho mai avuto questi problemi.
Onestamente faccio fatica a capire quale possa essere il problema se addirittura un installazione pulita non funziona.
Sei sicuro che la nuova installazione era pulita senza plugin e tema standard e non funzionava?

A Lourdes ci stavo pensando anche io!
L’installazione era pulita per quanto riguarda il dbase (era stato generato come nuovo) ma la cartella wp-include no quella c’era anche se nessun tema nè plugin erano attivi.
Potrei fare un ultimo tentativo rinominando wp-include (o spostandola) e reinstallando Wp ma se poi dovessi scoprire che che il problema è nella wp-include non saprei cmq che fare: non posso buttarla contenendo tutte le immagini del blog …

Dimenticavo: qlc idea per riconvertire alcuni articoli in pagine? (prima erano pagine ma dopo vari smanettamenti col dbase me li sono ritrovati come articoli …)

cmq visto il persistere del problema, sei sicuro che dipenda da qualcosa che sta in
wp_options
?Visto che non ha risolto nemmeno con una tabella pulita, il problema potrebbe nascere altrove.
Per esempio, quando carichi una foto, viene creata una riga dentro
wp_posts
proprio come se fosse un nuovo post, solo che ha unpost_type
diverso, mi pareattachment
oinherit
, non ricordo bene. In più, sempre inwp_posts
, c’è un campo dove viene memorizzato l’URL dell’immagine, magari quel valore non è corretto. -

Bene, in settimana (appena ho un attimo) provo a fare le seguenti cose:
-cancello tutto il blog (dopo i soliti backup)
-rinomino o sposto la wp-content
-reinstallo wp usando un dbase pulito
e vedo che succede … ti tengo aggiornato e grazie per l’aiuto!
