Ciao ragazzi, ho installato il plug-in WP-Symposium, tutto bene, funziona bene, però è in inglese, quindi ho deciso di andare nel sito del plug-in per poter scaricare la guida per tradurlo in italiano. http://www.wpsymposium.com/languages/
Ho scaricato il file dal sito http://crowdin.net/project/symposium come da guida.
E poi l’ho rinominato il file in wp-symposium-it_IT.po
Scaricato poedit e fatto una copia del file in estensione .mo: wp-symposium-it_IT.mo
Entrambi i file scaricati nella cartella di lingua del plug-in: wp-symposium –> lang –> ecco messi qua.
Provo a guardare sul sito. niente da fare. Il sito in questione è questo: http://www.barloc.netne.net/

Ah dimenticavo, sempre come da guida ho verificato il file wp-config.php che avesse impostato la configurazione di lingua in “it_IT”.

Cosa si dovrebbe vedere nel sito? Io non vedo niente di particolare. Hai aggiornato il plugin in modo automatico?

Nel sito anche quando vai in forum si dovrebbero vedere tutte le scritte in italiano.
No ho aggiunto il plug-in via ftp, perchè essendo un hosting gratuito mi da dei problemi quando vado a caricarlo direttamente dall’admin panel.

Tipo quando carica… si vede Please wait… invece dovrebbe essere in italiano, e poi anche quando si logga nel profilo è tutto in inglese!

Oppure quando hai caricato il plugin hai cancellato il file di traduzione che avevi prima, dipende se stava da solo o se l’avevi aggiunto tu in una cartella predefinita del plugin

Io avevo la versione di wp precedente che funzionava col file di traduzione, quando l’ho aggiornato mi è crashato e dopo mi ha dato solo problemi, quindi cos’ho fatto.
Ho cancellato via ftp tutta la cartella del vecchio plug-in e ho messo la nuova versione col file di lingua tradotto.
Non vorrei a questo punto, pensare che il file di lingua sia troppo vecchio rispetto alla nuova versione del plug-in, e quindi che non lo legga.

Questa guida è lunica che ho trovato in italiano per risolvere il problema ma contiene un errore. Anche se di vero e proprio errore non si può parlare visto che, se ricordo bene, detta guida è tradotta da quella in inglese su wpsymposium.com
Comunque.. da come ho letto da qualche parte: i file po vanno rinominati con la -it_IT finale nella cartella lang del plugin come pure il file wp-symposium-xx_XX.pot presente nella cartella mentre i file mutati in mo e rinominati con la -it_IT finale vanno nella directory principale dei plugin di wordpress: wpwp-contentplugins.
Non so della reale utilità dei file po e pot nella cartella lang visto che eliminandola sembri funzionare tutto bene lo stesso.
