Ciao a tutti, innanzi mi scuso per l’eventuale banalità della domanda ma sto muovendo solo ora i primi passi in questo nuovo mondo, io vorrei convertire il mio vecchissimo sito in html in uno più “nuovo” fatto con WP.
Ho scaricato ed installato un paio di temi che mi aggradano ma ho un problema, vorrei eliminare i widget laterali che vengono messi di default: Meta, Archives e Category.
Dalla Bacheca li ho già tolti, o meglio non si vedevano nemmeno prima, ho provato anche ad editare il file funcion.php (con un codice preso dalla rete che dovrebbe disattivare i widget) ma purtroppo non ho funzionato e rimangono presenti…
Qualcuno di voi riesce a darmi qualche dritta? mi scuso ancora e vi saluto cordialmente.

Di solito sono “segnaposto” inseriti nei template, e spariscono appena inserisci i tuoi widget.
Se stai muovendo i primi passi, perché vai attorno a cose che non conosci (e si chiama functions.php) rischiando di far danni mettendo codici a caso che non conosci?
Poi i temi non si modificano mai, se non attraverso un child theme.
