Vorrei installare nel mio sito questo plugin “WP Link Directory” che permette di creare una directory di links divisa in categorie e sotto categorie, sono hostato su TopHost, il problema è che questo plugin richiede che la directory temp venga settata con chmod 777, ora dato che per TopHost 777 è il numero del diavolo che devo fare rinunciare al plugin?, posso ovviare in qualche maniera, nessuno usa sto plugin senza la directory temp settata 777?.

Ho scoperto che è un problema di mod_rewrite, infatti se abilito il mod_rewrite dal pannelo di WP Link Directory non riesco a visualizzare la pagina categories/arte/1 se disattivo mod_rewrite invece è tutto ok, ma ovviamente esce categories/?cat=arte, il punto è che su TopHost è attivo il mod rewrite, nel plugin c’e’ un file .htaccess che richiede l’aggiunta di queste righe

Risolto il problema, per chi volesse installare questo plugin su Tophost che per motivi di sicurezza non permette di impostare chmod 777 nella directory temp, modificate il .htaccess che si trova nella directory che trovate nel plugin in questo modo e cosଠattiverete il mode_rewrite per avere dei permalink non più con ? ma con /nome/nome:

RewriteBase /nome-della-vostra-directory

A riguardo questo plugin tutto sembra funzionare a meraviglia ora, il problema non secondario e grave secondo me è che le pagine create non vengono indicizzate dai motori di ricerca in quanto danno errore 404, nonostante esse siano visibili ed aggiornabili da qualunque utente ma pare non per i motori di ricerca, nessuno ha idea come renderle indicizzabili, bisogna agire su htaccess?, …. ma come?.
