Ciao a tutti.
E’ chiaro che vendendo un sito a un cliente è molto più elegante e commercialmente opportuno eliminare qualunque riferimento a WP.
Vorrei sapere dunque se esistono – va benissimo anche in versione a pagamento – uno o più plugin che mi consentano la personalizzazione grafica e amministrativa del pannello di controllo (gestione avanzata degli utenti, scelta dettagliata dei menu e delle eventuali voci da concedere, ecc.), eliminando, come dicevo sopra, allo stesso tempo qualunque riferimento a WP.

Non si può eliminare i riferimenti a WP per questioni di LIcenza es il footer dell’admi… se è per un cliente che sa che gli stai dando WP che problema c’è? Mai avuto tali problemi.. a meno che si voglia vendere come proprio uan cosa altrui…

Non so che clienti tu abbia, ma i miei (che sono anche multinazionali) se si accorgono che sono stati tolti i credits a wodpress mi licenziano al volo.
Scriviti il tuo cms e vendilo senza credits, a meno che tu non vogli avendere wordpress come tuo.

Mi rendo conto che la comunicazione scritta – e ne ho la conferma ancora una volta in questo caso – porta a dei qui pro quo.
Si fanno interventi stringati per cercare una sicura risposta senza annoiare chi ti legge, pena dover tralasciare dettagli, magari importanti.
Mi è capitato un paio di volte di presentare WP come CMS. L’interlocutore di turno mi ha obiettato che si trattava di un software per blog, e che probabilmente non avevo inteso le sue necessità . O ancora mi sono sentito dire che essendo un prodotto già pronto il prezzo richiesto era assolutamente ingiustificato.
Sono consapevole che ho posto la domanda con leggerezza. E me ne scuso. Ma sia chiaro che non ho intenzione di fottere nessuno.
La richiesta inoltre verteva sulla possibilità di personalizzare il pannello di controllo.
Mi spiace essermi preso del disonesto – elargitomi forse con la stessa leggerezza con cui ho posto la domanda.
Grazie comunque. Oggi mi avete dato una lezione importante.

Di battaglie per convincere certi clienti ad adottare wordpress ne ho fatte e vinte.
Alcune sono state lunghe e perigliose ma i casi sono 2
O il cliente non ne ha un idea e quindi neanche sa cos’è wordpress oppure consce wordpress in modo superficiale.
Nel secondo caso bisogna preparare bene il discorso da fare portando esempi.
Prima di tutto wordpress nasce come piattaforma per blogging ma dalla versione 3+ lo hanno trasformando in un cms generico.
Difatti con wordpress si può creare qualsiasi cosa con articoli, tassonomie e campi personalizzati.
Questo dipende dal chi sviluppa il sito.
Ti consiglio di individuare degli esempi da qui
Per quando riguarda il prezzo wordpress è un prodotto già pronto se il cliente non richiede personalizzazioni ma questo non capita mai.
In genere bisogna creare un sito fatto su misura e se parliamo di una azienda che produce qualcosa bisogna realizzare il catalogo prodotti.
Il discorso se mai è il contrario è impensabile creare da 0 un CMS per relizzare un sito a budget limitato.
Se con un CMS il sito costa 100 realizzando tutto da zero il costo lieviterebbe a 10000. Poi c’è il problema dei tempi e dei bug.
Bisogna saper spingere sui vantaggi che da un prodotto OPEN source ovvero l’aver un folta comunità che aggiorna il prodotto e lo mantiene al passo con i tempi a costi ridotti o nulli.
Quindi il mio consiglio è quello di documentarsi bene prima di presentare un progetto ed essere pronti a rispondere alle obbiezioni con sicurezza.
Per concludere ribadisco che wordpress non è un CMS per blog anche se quello è l’uso più comune.

Io non riesco nemmeno a capire come faccia un cliente, pur incompetente, a immaginare di avere un contenitore con le prestazioni di WP creato da 0 da una persona sola, neanche avendo tutto il tempo, i soldi e le capacità del mondo sarebbe possibile, altrimenti non ci sarebbero team che lavorano da/per anni dietro i migliori software, e il perché è spiegato bene da Andrea, anche se dovresti già saperlo.
Ma soprattutto non capisco come faccia un programmatore ad avere la pretesa di farglielo credere.
Personalizzare è una cosa, eludere i crediti è un’altra, e non si dovrebbe fare in nessun campo.

Bhè, è logico che un cliente non ti paga WP, ma è altrettanto logico che il cliente ti paghi il lavoro di customizzazione che tu effettui, che paghi eventuali personalizzazioni come plugins.
Ed è anche logico, secondo me, che se tu utilizzi plugins già fatti ma ci apporti modifiche (lingua o altro) ti vengano riconosciuti.
Il tutto senza rinunciare ai diritti d’autore ed al lavoro fatto da altri.
Personalmente, e qui non mi sto rivolgendo a nessuno in particolare ma in generale, ho trovato persone che spacciano competenze con WP che non hanno, e che si manifestano quando __io che comunque con WP me la cavicchio un pochetto__ gli faccio richieste mirate (plugins da customizzare, implementazione di idee o ottimizzazione di fruibilità al contenuto…)
