Evidentemente non hai capito come si faccia e a cosa serva la prova.
Devi attivare un tema di default della serie twenty.
Devi disattivare correttamente tutti i plugins che hai, per esempio se hai un plugin di cache, devi prima svuotarla e poi disattivarlo e lo stesso vale per quei plugin che necessitano di azioni particolari per essere disattivati.
Svuotare la cache del browser che usi.
Vedere quindi se il problema si ripresenta, che nel tuo caso particolare significa fare il logout e accedere alla pagina come un utente normale ed inserire la password della pagina.
Se il problema continua lo dovrai dire perchè significa che dipende da wordpress ma se invece non dovesse accadere e tutto funzionasse normalmente dovrai attivare il tema che avevi in uso e fare la stessa operazione di verifica appena effettuata.
Se il problema non si presentasse ancora significherebbe che non dipende nemmeno dal tema ma da qualche plugins o da qualche loro interazione.
Per scoprire quale sia il o i plugins colpevoli dovrai attivarli uno alla volta facendo le verifiche ad ogni passaggio.
Spero che almeno ora ti sia chiara la logica delle prove che vengono richieste.

Il problema che permane è quello che ha dato origine al topic, ma te lo spiego nuovamente volentieri.
Digitando la password sulla pagina protetta http://www.tiguidoio.it/download-guide/ si viene indirizzati, anzichè all’interno della pagina, al login di wordpress.
Ho seguito la procedura, disattivando i plugin (cancellando la cache di wp cache),mho installato il tema twenty, cancellato la cache del browser e riprovato ad inserire la pw da esterno, ma il problema permane.
Non so cone spiegarlo diversamente.

Già questo è argomentare, finalmente abbiamo capito che il problema persiste anche con il tema di default e senza plugin, o meglio solo con il plugin di cache ancora attivo

Cerca di disattivarlo in modo corretto leggendo le specifiche di quel plugin e a parte questo cosa è molto strano tutto ciò, per me devi avere il file wp-config.php che è stato modificato, controllalo con uno pulito o qualche strana regola nel file .htaccess.
Altre possibilità faccio fatica ad immaginarle anche perchè tu non dici nulla riguardo a cosa sia successo prima che iniziasse a comportarsi in questo modo, tipo plugin che hai installato che possono avere modificato il normale funzionamento di wordpress.

Per disinstallare correttamente wp super cache si fa in questo modo
Dopo che l’avrai fatto, e dopo aver controllato il file wp-config.php rinomina via ftp la cartella plugins in plugins.old
Altra cosa che non avrai provato è vedere se lo fa con tutte le pagine, crea una pagina di prova e proteggila con una password e verifica se ti da lo stesso problema.
Sempre che tu non abbia dei backup server e database precedenti al problema e se ancora avrai il problema l’unica soluzione che mi viene in mente è quella di installare wp in locale, esportare da remoto ed importare in locale tutti i contenuti con il plugin wordpress importer dal menu strumenti.
Ci metti il tuo tema, attivi tutti i plugins e se funziona fai la migrazione da locale a remoto.
Questo e tutto da parte mia, magari altri potranno darti altre dritte.

Ho disattivato wp cache secondo la procedura, ho creato un’altra pagina protetta con password e rinominato la cartella plugin, ma niente da fare.
Il procedimento che mi consigli, non lo capisco bene. Non ho backup dei file, ma ho backup regolari del database.

Se ti ricordi quando è successo prova a mettere un database precedente il problema al posto dell’attuale, facendo sempre un BACKUP di quello che togli, dando per scontato che tu sappia come farlo.
Andare attorno al database senza aver le dovute conoscenze è un’operazione rischiosa.
RIPETO:
E’ meglio non fare nulla se non sei certo e di affidarti ad un professionista.
Il suggerimento di importare tutto in locale è in funzione di avere un database pulito.
La descrizione sintetica implica che tu sappia installare una piattaforma LAMP sul tuo pc, installarci wordpress, fare la migrazione ecc. ecc.
Non sono cose semplicissime se non le hai mai fatte per cui l’unico consiglio anche qui è quello di affidarti ad un professionista.

Un amico mi ha dato uno spunto interessante.
Il captcha potrebbe sbagliare reindirizzamento (al wp-login invece che alla pagina).
Come si può eliminate o configurare il captcha di wordpress?

Avevo anche disattivato tutti i plugin, ma il captcha rimaneva.
Lo inserisce anche quando faccio il login da wp-admin.
Non sarà funzione “incorporata” in wp?

WordPress NON ha il captcha se sei su un hosting che ha una sua versione di WP custom noi non possiamo saperlo ma WP NON HA I CAPTCHA nella sua versione standard di distribuzione PUNTO!

L’hosting che utilizzo è Lunarpages, ma ho installato il “normale” wordpress, scaricato dalla pagina specifica. Non ho mai installato la versione Custom dell’hosting.
Non so da dove spunti fuori il captcha.
Mi spiace che ti incazzi, non è questo l’obiettivo.
Su un forum come questo si viene perché alla ricerca di aiuto.
Se non ne puoi dare, dedicati pure ad altro e lascia spazio a chi è in grado di dare supporto, che non vale la pena arrabbiarsi per certe inezie
