Ciao a tutti,
da ieri, dopo aver aggiornato un plugin del mio sito (Events Calendar), non riesco più ne a visualizzarlo ne ad accedervi. Sembra che sia il caso della “pagina bianca della morte”. Nonostante abbia seguito varie guide, nessuna è stata risolutiva. Ho modificato il nome della cartella del plugin aggiornato e l’intera cartella plugin senza risultati. Ho caricato anche i file di defualt di WP index.php e functions.php e il file htaccess ma nulla.

Scarica il pacchetto del plugin dal loro sito, decomprimilo e caricalo via FTP.

Dovrebbe andare, se è stato l’aggiornamento automatico del plugin a darti il problema.
Altrimenti fai la stessa cosa ma con la versione precedente del plugin, quella che andava. àˆ anche probabile tu abbia fatto cose che non vanno bene, tipo dici di aver seguito “varie guide”, non so di cosa si tratta. Non c’è nessuna guida da seguire: o fai l’aggiornamento a mano o ritorni alla situazione precedente.
Anche i file che citi non andavano toccati, di index ce ne sono a decine mentre di functions.php WP non ne ha (o almeno non ne ha tra quelli che vedi nella root) e cmq non c’entrano niente.
Assicurati quindi di avere un’installazione integra con tutti i file originali, magari con un backup precedente o come preferisci, e quando il sito è di nuovo a posto rifai l’aggiornamento manuale via FTP o metti la versione precedente del plugin e rivolgiti al supporto del plugin se avrai di nuovo pagina bianca.

Il sito è adesso raggiungibile, vero!
Il problema è che dal lato amministratore non posso entrare in nessuna delle pagine del menu di WP. Mi da errore in qualsiasi pagina (plugin, articoli, portfolio etc).

Ero riuscito ad entrare ma senza motivo di nuovo errore. Sto ripristinando da backup la cartella del plugin anche se non credo basti a questo punto.

Continuo a non capire. Ogni tanto riesco a navigare su qualche pagina ma poi di nuovo: pagina bianca!
Evidentemente non è solo problema di plugin ma ho ripristinato tutto da backup

Se hai veramente ripristinato TUTTO (e non solo il plugin) da un backup di una condizione precedente in cui l’installazione funzionava normalmente, e se l’hai fatto correttamente, significa che qualcosa nel frattempo è cambiato e devi cominciare a cercare su altri presupposti, locali o di server. Quali non te li posso dire dato che non vedo il problema.

probabilmente quello che è cambiato è il DNS? Wordfence mi segnala “Your DNS records have changed”
è qui il problema?

Direi che il problema NON è certo in WP ma va ricercato a livello più alto (server/php/database/ecc) e quidni di aprire gli opportuni ticket con il tuo hoster.

Ticket aperto! La cosa davvero strana è che il sito principale va correttamente, quello in sottocartelle /in ed /en non funziona!

Sicuro di aver rimesso l’.htaccess com’era prima? E hai provato ad aggiornare i permalink?
Anche attivare il debug ti aiuterebbe.
Edit: per la segnalazione devi chiedere a quelli di Wordfence se potrebbe essere un falso positivo.
