Salve a tutti,
ho provato per la prima volta oggi ad usare wordpress per modificare un sito esistente: ho scaricato la versione italiana, modificato e rinominato il file config con tutti i dati, installato filezilla, fatto l’accesso al mio dominio e caricato da locale a remoto tutte le cartelle e i file di wordpress seguendo le istruzioni del wiki, sostituendole a quelle del vecchio sito.
Tuttavia, provando ad aprire il mio sito on line visualizzo un messaggio di errore e provando ad entrare nella pagina admin visualizzo una spiegazione secondo la quale wp si è connesso al server (quindi username e pw sono corretti) ma non trova il database!
eppure, il nome del DB e dell’utente coincidono (server Aruba) e sono scritti correttamente nel file config…
avete qualche idea?

Ciao,
delle 2 una : o i dati nel wp-config non sono giusti oppure il database non è stato creato correttamente.
Io farei la prova del “9” : pagina php che fa solamente la connessione al db .
Vedi un pò magari nel farla ti accorgi di eventuali errori nel wp-config.php , oppure ottieni la conferma che c’è qualche problema col db.

ho controllato il file config ed è scritto correttamente (tra l’altro, in aruba DB e user coincidono, se fosse sbagliato uno lo sarebbe anche l’altro e invece WP mi dice che lo username è corretto).
bronz, confesso di non saper fare in autonomia la prova del 9 che mi suggerisci, ma mi viene da chiedere questa cosa: se il DB avesse problemi, come potrei visualizzare il sito attuale?
