Ciao a tutti,
sto lavorando sul mio sito e vorrei modificare la sidebar con il codice.
Con web developer (un componente aggiuntivo di firefox) ho visto la sorgente cioè il codice html del mio sito, eppure sull’editor di wordpress non mi si visualizza lo stesso codice.
come mai?
come faccio ad agire su quel codice che vedo con web developer?

Non conosco il plugin da te citato però in linea di massima tali plugin restituiscono solo il codice Html come viene interpretato dal client perchè per ovvi motivi non sono in grado di restituire anche le funzioni e le operazioni che avvengono lato server. Per esempio nel file in questione sidebar.php ci saranno delle funzioni in php e dei conditional tag che effettuano vari controlli… La differenza dovrebbe essere solo questa, cioè l’aggiunta del php ma per quanto riguarda html puro saranno identici, e quindi puoi facilmente modificare il layout intervenendo sull’html e css senza intaccare le operazioni in php.

ho già provato ma poi non capisco come salvare le modifiche, e poi mi sembra che funzioni bene solo per piccoli cambiamenti.
nell’editor di wordpress non ci sono le linee numerate.

Si si certo, il php agisce soltanto lato server cioè opera “dietro le quinte” invece quello che vedi tu è HTML e quello è standard, però per modificarlo ti consiglio di farlo in locale utilizzando un editor cosଠda avere una visuale più chiara e semplificata

io saprei usare dreamweaver…ma poi come faccio a trsferire tutto su wordpress?

Oddio con dreamweaver non lo so, non mi è mai piaciuto e non l’ho mai usato, comunque ti basta prendere i file da remoto, in questo caso sidebar.php lo copi in locale e ci lavori. Aprirlo con un editor php potrebbe aiutarti perchè di solito tramite colorazioni differenti riesci più facilmente ad identificare l’html e il php. Una volta fatte le modifiche poi ricarichi il file sovrascrivendo il vecchio per aggiornarlo (fai prima un backup ovviamente).

l’editor di testo base di mac… gli editor visuali non sono adatti con WP dan più problemi che altro…

Non è questione di editor, ma di conoscenza del php.
Quel codice html è generato, come ti è stato già detto, da funzioni scritte in php. E’ su quelle che devi lavorare e fare in modo che modifichino l’output (appunto il codice html) come meglio preferisci.
Dreamweaver è ottimo, a patto che si usi la modalità codice.
PS: in particolare, che modifiche vorresti apportare?
