Devo assolutamente migrare un magazine realizzato in Joomla in un MultiBlog WP.
La cosa paradossale che non riesco a risolvere è che mentre in J. ci sono dozzine di plugin per impaginare articoli, non riesco a trovarne uno per WP.
Io ho bisogno di mostrare nella home page, su deiverse colonne ed in stili differenti, il titolo, l’autore, la foto, un sunto dell’articolo.
Possibilmente il sunto scritto in un campo a parte, oppure i primi “n” caratteri/parole.
E sempre possibilmente un sotto titolo o altri campi extra.
Possibile che non ci sia nulla del genere per WP, che viene usato anche nei quotidiani?
Ho provato anche a guardare il codice di questi, ma sembrerebbe che venga sempre fatto un grande uso della personalizzazione CSS.
Per il tema userei Carrington.

Css tema template campi personlizzati plugin ad hoc.. non esiste un solo modo per fare le cose e spesso vanno combinati.. direi che è al di la delle tue possibilità tecniche.. rivolgersi ad un professonista no ?

Vedi il problema è che ci sono veramente molte soluzioni diverse e nessuna delle quali spiegabili in poche righe per uno che non ha le basi di WordPress.
Potresti cominciare a studiare cos’è WordPress, come funziona, cos’è un tema, come funzionano i campi personalizzati etc.etc.
Poi magari torni qui con domande da forum e non con domande che prevedono di doverti spiegare per filo e per segno cos’è WordPress, come funziona, cosa sono i temi e come funzionano, cosa sono i campi personalizzati etc. etc.
Devi anche sapere che Joomla è un software e WordPress è un software diverso che funziona in modo diverso da Joomla, WordPress non è Joomla con il nome diverso.

Scusa Wally, ma non puoi partire in quarta con dei preconcetti.
Uso WP da almeno 3 anni. Lo confesso: principalmente come blog e trascurando le novità delle ultime versioni.
Joomla lo conosco meglio anche con mie personalizzazioni CSS.
Il punto non è questo, ma altri.
1) Non sempre si ha le risorse (e di questi tempi anche un budget) per chiamare “dei professionisti”.
2) Uno dei pregi dei CMS è che ci si può avvalere di funzionalità standard senza dover sempre necessitare di profonde personalizzazioni.
Joomla sta diventando una piattaforma sempre più solida, ma a mio avviso con una roadmap non affatto indolore che costringe chi ci lavora sopra ai salti mortali per passare da una release alla successiva ed a buttare a mare una valanga di cose.
Il passaggio alla 2.5 è stato un bagno di sangue e la migrazione alla 3 sembra sarà pure peggio.
WP ha gestito meglio questi passaggi critici, salvaguardando spesso l’esistente.
Inoltre scopro (da tempo) la sua solidità anche in contesti che vanno ben oltre i blog personali.
Quello che a mio avviso manca è una directory delle componenti suddivisa per categoria perché la gestione per tag è estremamente dispersiva. Per non parlare della ricerca per parole.
La parola “Banner”, ad esempio, individua ben 55 pagine, spesso elencanti plugins che banner non lo sono affatto. Un altro tag di cui non ricordo bene, ieri mi ha chiamato ben 192 pagine!
Sto passando ore leggendo pagine su pagine, scaricando di tutto e testando ogni plugins che mi sembra abbia un senso.
In questo, più che per Joomla o altro, credo che la community possa aiutare dando consigli, suggerimenti e dritte per andare, non dico a colpo sicuro, ma almeno vicino al bersaglio.
Per entrare nel concreto, in Joomla ho dei moduli da pubblicare nelle pagine configurabili con poche informazioni e che permettono di visualizzare il medesimo post in decine di combinazioni diverse tra di loro mettendo in risalto vuoi il titolo, vuoi l’autore, vuoi l’immagine o altro e senza far uso di campi personalizzati che so perfettamente cosa siano.
Il CSS lo utilizzi (su quei moduli) per arricchire graficamente un contenuto già pubblicabile con ottimi risultati anche senza alcun intervento manuale.
Mi sembra strano non si possa farlo qui visto che la componente “editoriale” è il punto forte di WP.
Tutto sta a trovare la componente o il metodo per “aggirare” il problema.
Oppure, sempre con un esempio, già le estensioni standard di Joomla mi permettono di visualizzare automaticamente il banner di uno sponsor quando c’è un suo articolo ed evitando cosଠche appaia quello di un suo concorrente.
In WP non l’ho ancora trovato.
Sto verificando se tutto ciò nel “nuovo WP” non sia legato al concetto di tassonomia o ai Custom Post Type.
Dire “rivolgerti ad un professionista”, perdonami, fa molto élite e poco community.
Ammesso anche che sia un citrullo, posso auspicare di imparare qualcosa?
Per la cronaca, il sito si rivolge a 600 utenti; non farà cosଠconcorrenza al Corriere della Sera.
Il mio budget sarà , si e no, 250 Euro tra dominio ed i pochi plugin commerciali da acquistare.
Sto già impiegandoci anche troppo tempo di mio.
Senza polemica, ovviamente.

il mettere su più colonne un post è solo questione di html e css a meno che tu non crei un tema con dei css prestabiliti (ne ho visti alcuni dove puoi scegliere il tipo di visualizzazione)

Sottotitoli devi usare i campi personalizzati
per il riassuntino poui utilizzare il campo riassunto
Ultima cosa, che non vuole essere polemica, 250 euro sono talmente pochi che a malapena ci sta l’installazione, la scelta di un tema free e poco altro.

Infatti lo avevo detto che non ho un budget.
Trattandosi di una associazione sto dando un contributo gratuito, ma c’è un limite alla disponibilità e cosଠnon vorrei tornare sui miei passi e rimanere in Joomla.
Francamente non capisco.
Non ho ancora guardato i plugin degli sliders, ma mi sembra impossibile che non ci sia nulla di paragonabile alla valanga di sliders Joomla, la maggior parte gratuiti e moltissimi di buona fattura.
Mediamente con questi posso:
-Decidere quanti articoli pubblicare
-Quanti per riga e quanti per colonna
-Come visualizzarli se il numero totale è superiore di quelli pubblicabili e l’effetto di tansizione.
-Dimensioni (in Px o %) dell’area di pubblicazione
-Categorie da dove recuperare i post
-Filtri di varia natura
-Ordine di pubblicazione dei vari campi, nonché distribuzione dei campi tra di loro.
…
Addirittura più d’uno mi permette di definire più aree di pubblicazione, laterali o sovrapposte, con parametri indipendenti.
Tre o quattro di questi moduli in fila nella pagina impostati in modo differente ed hai una home page simile ad un magazine professionale e senza scrivere un bit di CSS. Con il CSS, poi, non ne parliamo.
Possibile che non ci sia nulla di nulla per WP?
Da non credere.

gli sliders sono un’altra cosa e ci sono molti plugin per gli slider.
Non so se fanno quello che vuoi tu perché al momento non ho capito quello che vuoi.
Prima parlavi di di avere i post su più colonne ora parli di slider.

PS: se ti trovi meglio con le funzionalità di joomla continua con Joomla che è un ottimo sw open source con una grande community alle spalle.

Ho bisogno di uno strumento solido nella gestione redazionale e WP è quello che ritengo lo strumento giusto.
Gli sliders non gestiscono solo immagini, ma anche testi, in un mix integrato.
Me li studierò uno a uno, come sto facendo per i banner.

In effetti ho trovato diversi temi con già presenti le funzionalità che sto cercando, cosଠcome gli slider che fanno ciò desideravo, pubblicare testi ed immagini.
Chiudo il thread, perché i problemi adesso sono più diretti.
