Ciao a tutti.
Scrivo perchè purtroppo periodicamente google agisce come una scure sull’indicizzazione del mio sito abbattendo in modo piuttosto importante, del 60/70%, gli accessi.
Mentre tutti gli altri motori di ricerca continuano a far crescere gli accessi verso il sito, google periodicamente lo penalizza.
Ho provato a cercare un motivo valido e il problema più evidente che è emerso, utilizzando gli STRUMENTI PER WEBMASTER di GOOGLE, sono delle “Meta descrizioni duplicate”.
Cioè ho circa 1864 post/pagine con una o più doppioni con indirizzi diversi…

Come faccio ad eliminarli? e a evitare che continuino a crearsi?

I motivi possono essere diversi. Inviare una sitemap.xml a Google può essere una delle soluzioni.

Senza una URL ad una delle pagine con il problema resta difficile fare una diagnosi/analisi. Probabilmente stai utilizzando un tema fatto con i piedi. Una soluzione sarebbe quella di controllare le URL duplicate e sapere a cosa effettivamente corrispondono; quindi verificare se quegli indirizzi hanno il tag “canonical”, inoltre, con un plugin di SEO x seo, dare il “noindex” a tutto ciò che non sia homepage, pagine e posts. Iniziare a far uso della sitemap, anche questa dovrà soltanto avere home, pagine e post.
Per velocizzare l’esclusione di quei duplicati puoi scrivere un file robots.txt identico a quello che crea WordPress ed il plugin della sitemap, ma con aggiunte tutte le URL che non devono essere indicizzate (scrivi una regola per dire ai crawler di non considerarle), lasciandolo lଠper un certo periodo.
Una quindicina di giorni dopo che avrai risolto con il codice delle pagine e con la corretta configurazione del SEO, potrai togliere il robots.txt statico dalla root; quello dinamico creato da WordPress e dal plugin per la sitemap tornerà a funzionare come prima.

WordPress SEO di YOAST dovrebbe avere uan funzione che fa si che tali URL siano reindirizzate correttamente… ma poi dipende se quei parametri in GET servono a qualche plugin o sono generati da qualche sito che google legge e trova…

Quelle pagine io le vedo nel blocco PHOTO EVENTS by ROCKISLAND.IT e sono le paginazioni… ma vedo anche:
<link rel=”canonical” href=”http://www.rockisland.it/” />
ergo quelle pagine NON sono un problema per google… che poi quel plugin possa fare quella cosa szenza fare un reload di pagina sarebbe cosa buona e giusta o comuqnue passare i parametri in POST e non in GET ok.. ma il canoical assicuara che le url duplicate non peggiorino la SERP google

Ciao webmasterwo, non prenderla a male ma a mio parere è quasi impossibile sistemarti i problemi di duplicazione se non tramite cambio di template e installazione ex nuovo di WordPress per dare una bella pulita al database, o meglio, è quello che farei io per essere sicuro che tutto funzioni come piace a me.
Hai mai provato a leggere il sorgente della tua Home Page? è spaventoso….il livello di ottimizzazione e sicurezza è pari a zero…ad esempio : <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 3.2.1″ /> Questo è meglio non farlo comparire per ragioni di sicurezza.
Giusto per provare a sistemare qualcosina, aggiungi queste righe al tuo file Header.php, prima della chiusura </head>
<?php if (is_search()) { ?>
<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow” />
<?php } ?>
<?php if (is_paged()) { ?> <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,follow” /> <?php } ?>
Quel codice dice ai motori di ricerca di NON indicizzare e NON seguire i risultati delle ricerche interne al sito, inoltre di NON indicizzare le pagine (page2, page3, page4 etc) ma seguirne comunque i link.
Le pagine vanno trattate con questo codice perchè altrimenti google te le va ad indicare come duplicati, avendo loro la stessa descrizione.
Per il resto, crea un file robot.txt nella root del sito, fatto come si deve ovviamente, e una buona parte dei problemi dovresti risolverla.
Ah..giusto per rispondere alla tua richiesta precedente, nel caso un giorno decidessi di aprire un nuovo blog, io sono disponibilissimo ad ottimizzartelo al meglio, però partendo dal principio, senza nemmeno mezzo plugin installato
