Ciao a tutti.
So che sono state pubblicate discussioni su questo argomento ma non ho trovato nulla che corrisponda alla mia problematica misteriosa.
Parliamo del limite di upload media in wordpress.
Introduco dicendo che ho un’installazione multisite e che già ho provato a modificare le impostazioni della rete senza successo.
Ho un limite settato a 64mb ma pubblicando video formativi questo limite è ridicolo, i miei video son più pesanti e devo upparli nel mio spazio anzichè incorporarli da youtube per ragioni di gestione di privacy.
Leggendo le varie discussioni ho già provato a:
– modificare/creare un php.ini con le variabili corrette
– modificare il php.functions del tema
– modificare il file .htaccess
– modificare il file wp-config.php
In ultimo ho contattato il mio host pensando che fosse un limite imposto da loro e la risposta è stata di andare nel variables manager di cPanel e aggiungere le variabili dell’upload media e dei post.
Ma niente, continuo ad avere il medesimo limite e a non poter uppare file di dimensioni superiori a 64mb.
La prima risposta dell’host è stata addirittura di usare il trasferimento ftp ma non è una soluzione. A parte i numerosi passaggi in più, verrebbe meno anche l’utilizzo di alcune funzioni di wordpress sulla gestione dei media nei post.
Non so più dove sbattere la testa, qualcuno ha la minima idea di quale potrebbe essere la soluzione?

Si ed è quella che ti hanno dato quelli dell’hosting, devi modificare le variabili da cPanel.
WordPress NON gestisce alcun limite semplicemente legge quello imposto dal server e si adegua, perché non può fare altrimenti.

Ma se facendo come hanno detto, cioè aggiungendo le variabili non cambia nulla da cosa può dipendere? Sto diventando scemo perchè mi sembra assurdo.

Non dici quanto sono grandi questi file video.
Se i file video che vuoi caricare pesano qualche centinaio di Mbyte ha comunque ragione il tuo Hosting visto che è una follia pensare che vada tutto liscio durante il trasferimento, al 99% non andrà mai a buon fine in un Hosting condiviso.
A meno che hai un Server tuo, Dedicato, allora devi solo configurarlo per la tua esigenza e non avrai alcun problema.
Scusami se mi permetto di consigliarti, ma a meno che tu non abbia delle esigenze davvero uniche, il metodo di trasferimento di un video via FTP per poi richiamarlo da WordPress è il sistema decisamente più corretto.
