Salve,
provo a chiedere a voi esperrti in WP:
ho installato la versione 2.9.1 di WP ed a seguito anche il plugin WPML 1.6.0 per il multilingua.
Server linux:
PHP versione 5.2.0-8+etch1
MySql versione 5.0.32-Debian_7etch6
Ho impostato nella configurazione del plugin soltanto l’inglese e appena terminata la configurazione iniziale il pannello wp-admin è diventato totalmente in inglese.
Se disattivo il plugin torna in italiano e viceversa quando lo attivo.
Ho controllato my profile e nella cofigurazione stessa del plugin che sia setttato come default la lingua italiana ma nulla da fare.
Non nomino l’ISP perché non so se gradito, se serve ed è possibile lo scrivo.
Consigli?

Voilà il problema è risolto, posto la soluzione trovata qual’ora serva a qualcuno:
in configurazione bisogna settare in Theme and plugins localization
alla riga dove risportaLanguage Local Settings, Italiano viene impostato per default in “it” cambiarlo in it_IT ed il pannello torna in italiano.
Spero serva a qualcuno e in molti casi basta cercare per risolvere!!!

ciao io ho appena installato wp 3.0.1 in italiano. poi ho installato wpml 1.8.2
ho cambiato da it a it_IT ma la lingua default rimane Inglese sia nel pannello di controllo che nel front end.
se provo a settare la lingua default in spagnolo tutto ok, se la rimetto in italiano mi dice “WordPress language file (.mo) is missing. Keeping existing display language.”
eppure il file it_IT.mo ovviamente c’è ed è nella stessa cartella del file es_ES.mo
sono 2 ore che cerco di capirci qualcosa su google ma non riesco. avete qualche idea?

niente alla fine l’ho risolta cosà¬:
ho fatto una copia del file it_IT.mo e l’ho nominato in it.mo e l’ho uppato nel server, poi ho cambiato il default language da it_IT a solamente it e adesso il file lo trova…..vai a capire…..se qualcuno sa dirmi di piu magari…
per ora ho risolto cosà¬

mi sono accorto che ho risolto a metà , infatti il pannello di controllo è in ITA ma il front end è tutto in INGLESE.

Stesso problema, ho provato le soluzioni proposte ma non funzionano. Qualcuno ha altri suggerimenti?

Provate ad andare nel sotto menu: Theme and plugins localization
Settate la terza opzione “Using a .mo file in the theme directory.”
Poi nella lista che compare: “Language locale settings”
assicuratevi che l’italiano per esempio abbia il giusto “Locale file name” nel mio caso it_IT.mo
Cosଠl’admin di WP torna il italiano, il resto è intuitivo.
