Ciao a tutti ho un problema
avevo installato l’ultima versione di wordpress in italiano poi a causa di un errore ho dovuto sovrascrivere una copia di backup che avevo artigianalment fatto ed è spuntato fuori il tutto in inglese
premetto uso wordpress 2.3.2 con hosting apache 2.X con aziendeitalia e linux
ho controllato il file wp-config.php ed è cosi:

ho controllato nella cartella languages e ci sono 2 file it_IT.mo e it_IT.po
non capisco il perche cosa devo fare?
altro problema vorrei cambiare i permalink dopo che effettuo il cambiamento mi dice di sostituire il file .htaccess. lo cerco nella cartella httpdocs ma non lo trovo spunto con filezilla la visualizzazione dei file nascoti ma non c’è, allora ho deciso di crearlo ma mi fa una marea di casini, l’errore di sopra, come devo fare per cambiare i permalink.

Non è che sei sul un serve a 64bit? O magari hanno cambiato il server e tu non lo sai? Prova ad applicare la soluzione indicata in un recente post desul nostro blog e precisamente:

grazie steveAngl per quanto riguarda il problema in della lingua ho risolto ci ha pensato il servizio di hosting era un loro errore che avevano cambiato il server con uno a 64bit
cmq se dovese servire per altri mi hanno dato una sringa da aggiungere
accedere in FTP e portarsi nella directory httpdocs/wp-includes
2. effettuare una copia di sicurezza del file gettext.php
3. aprire il file gettext.php con un editor di testo e ricercare la seguente riga:
$magic = $this->readint();
4. sostituirla con la seguente:
$magic = $this->readint() & 0xFFFFFFFF;
5. salvare il file e trasferilo sul server
invece per il problema con i permalink non ho risolto
io non ho il file .htacces, cosi mi hanno detto quelli del server, e mi hanno detto di crearlo pero se uso le stringhe che mi dice qordpress alla fine del cambio permalink non funziona
chi puo aiutarmi?

Invece che editare a mano il file col rischio di errore etc.. se avessi letto il post che ti ho linkato in precedenza avresti trovato il file da scaricare corretto che andava semplicemente caricato sul tuo spazio web.
Cambiando i permalink che errore ti da? Sarà probabilmente un problema di permessi e WP non riesce a scrivere il file. in questo caso di solito però fornisce il testo da copiare ed incollare in un file di testo che poi rinominerai in .htaccess e caricherai sul tuo spazio web usando FTP

non volevo non usare il tuo consiglio ma quando ho telefonato al servizio hosting mi hanno risposto che facevano loro visto che era un loro problema
per quanto riguarda i permalink io ho fatto come dici tu ma non funziona copiando il testo che mi da wordpress quando cambio la regola dei permalink

Ah ok han fatto tutto loro.. Bene buon servizio ti han fornito… spesso su ste cose se ne lavano le mani o più spesso sanno che hanno il server a 64bit te lo dicono ma non sono aggiornati su coem risolvere (se possibile) con i vari prodotti che hanno problemi. Magari hanno molti utenti con Wp e quindi come mi è capitato altri hosting provider

Il file .htaccess c’è ed è leggibile da tutti? Che hosting usi? Il mod_rewrite è attivo sul server?

uso aziendeitalia apache 2.0 linux
il file non c’è me l’ha confermato anche l’assistenza tecnica del server
ho attivato tutte le cartelle in modo da poterle scrivere

Puoi provare a crearti un file di testo vuoto e caricarlo sulla directory principale dove hai WP e rinominarlo in .htaccess e vedere poi se quando aggiorni i permalink il file viene scritto e anche se poi funzionano.
Ho una segnalazione di un problema simile su un’altra installazione in quel caso il file si scrive etc ma i permalink non funzionano, in quel caso il server non è a 64bit ed hanno il mod_rewrite attivato. Per vedere se il tuo server ha il mod_rewrite attivato basta checrei un semplicissimo file test.php che metterai nel tuo spazio web e che richiamerai con http://www.tuodominio.xx/test.php. In questo file devi semplicemente scrivere:

phpinfo()
?>
Gli spazi sulla prima e terza riga vanno eliminati.
Caricato il file e richiamandolo otterrai una schermata con molte info nella sezione apache2handler sotto Loaded Modules verifica sia caricato anche il mod_rewrite.
Il file di test poi lo potrai eliminare...
