Ciao a tutti e grazie a quanto vorranno rispondermi.
Sono nuovo del forum e di WordPress.
Sto dunque muovendo i primi passi.
Per provare ho installato WP su una linux-box in locale: tutto liscio.
Ho quindi provato ad installare un nuovo tema.
Prima ho avuto problemi con la directory in cui il tema avrebbe dovuto essere installato, ma è stato banale risolverlo: è bastato un
sudo chmod -R 777 /var/www/cab/wp-content
Adesso il problema che ho è che mi viene richiesta una connessione attraverso una form con i seguenti campi:
- nome host;
- nome utente;
- password.
Ho provato - sempre con nome host settato a localhost - sia di collegarmi come admin e la password che uso per il pannello di controllo, sia con un nome utente e la password di un utente della macchina locale (sulla macchina ho installato VSFTPD come server ftp, il quale accetta connessioni dagli utenti locali).
Tutto questo senza successo.

se chiede i dati FTP localmente vuol dire che hai sempre problemi di permessi sulle directory… un 775 basta e avanza…
ed un chown all’utente e gruppo con cui gira apache… almeno il gruppo…
