Salve a tutti..sono alle prime armi per quanto riguarda l’utilizzo di wordpress, vi chiedo un CORTESE e CELERE AIUTO..se vi chiedessi di consigliarmi un plug per foto, mi direste nextgen gallery? Se si, l’ho già scaricato e attivato, ma, due domande:
– sul mio sito devo inserire 50-100 foto per ogni galleria(ho foto con macchina semiprofessionale anche da 4MB ciascuna). Questo plug me le ridimensiona e rimpicciolisce automaticamente (lasciando libera la esigua memoria di WP, 200MB mi pare) o devo rimpicciolirle ad una ad una con gimp? Spero mi confermiate di no....
– come inserisco una galleria in un singolo articolo? (al momento ne ho composta una, ma è slegata dall’articolo)..

1) le ridimensiona…
2) Il plugin se non erro aggiunge un pulsante alla barra dell’editor per inserire le gallerie.. se no tramite un tag opportuno.. leggi le istruzioni allegate o sul sito dell’autore che cura molto documentazione ed assistenza
PS: Scrivere titoli in maiuscolo e chiedere risposte celeri sempre in maiuscolo NON è unbuon modo per avere maggior attenzione su questo forum, io di solito le richieste marcate come urgenti o troppo sollecitate le ignoro almeno sino al giorno dopo o oltre.. apposta.

NextGen Gallery ridimensiona si le foto ma solo per quanto riguarda le miniature, miniature di cui tu puoi decidere le dimensioni configurando il plugin lato amministrazione (vedrai che ci sono diverse opzioni sia per gli album che per le slideshow e le gallerie). Caricare foto da 4 MB l’una non mi pare l’ideale. Lavora sulla risoluzione immagine e magari portale a 800 x 600 con un peso che non superi i 200 KB. Un esempio di gallerie lo trovi qui’
Per inserire una galleria, slideshow o album in un articolo usa il pulsantino relativo che si trova nell’editor di testo a lato e selezioni la galleria/album da inserire e come inserirle. Organizza però prima le gallerie per nome e le copertine degli album. Un esempio di slide qui’
Controlla sul sito dell’autore se presente la localizzazione in italiano cosଠmagari ti è più facile configurare il plugin lato amministrazione.

1) le ridimensiona..
Mi scuso della castroneria detta, in effetti il plugin dovrebbe ridimensionare le immagini di default a 800 x 600 (il peso del file non credo). In Opzioni Generali/Immagini si può cambiarne il valore. Molto probabilmente non mi sono mai accorto di tale funzione avendo sempre “preparato” le immagini prima di caricarle via FTP. Mi scuso ancora.

Il peso delle immagini è determinabile solo tramite la qualità della compressione… ovviamente la miglior ottimizzazione si ha con operazioni manuali.

Volete dire che le devo modificare ad una ad una con gimp? Al momento ne avrei circa 400 …il next gen dunque non mi aiuta?

Le ridimensiona… l’ho giùà detto.
Esistono pure sw che fanno ridimensionamento in batch di una serie di file (ma siamo OT quindi per 1queste cose rivolgiti ad un forum di grafica)

Quindi Steve,scusa se insisto, posso procedere a inserire 400foto? (anche da 4mega) o conviene che almeno queste le rimpicciolisco con gimp?
Ho difficoltà a inserirle con NEXT GEN..non riesco a “legare” le gallerie all’articolo..e c’è un punto del tutorial in cui mi perdo, in cui si parla di una “nuova icona che dovrebbe spuntare nell’editor”..mi potresti/ste aiutare? Grazie anticipatamente..

uplodare foto 400 foto molto pesanti ti porta via un sacco di tempo oltre a far lavorare il server per ridimensionare.
Più che conGIMP ti conviene cercare e scaricare un programma che te le ridimensioni in baatch.
Poi quando caricherai poche foto alla volta puoi usare il ridimensionamento di nextgen.

Ragazzi, grazie..ho trovato Pliska image resizer e pare faccia al caso mio..le rimpicciolisce in pochi secondi..
Un ultima domanda: sicuramente sarò negato io, ma non riesco a inserire la galleria fatta con next gen gallery nell’articolo..mi sapreste dire come fare?

non uso più nextgen gallery da molto tempo però ricordo che sul loro sito c’erano tutte le informazioni.

Ci sono arrivato,ce l’ho fatta,grazie..ultimo dubbio: una volta inserite, wp non mi visualizza alcune foto..per caso è dovuto al fatto che sto rimpicciolendo tutto a 500 pixel? (passando ogni singola foto da 4M a 40 KB)

se sono nella gallery si devono vedere.. se non si vedono.. non ci sono… il plugin è usatissimo, sviluppato costantemente e quindi un problema del genere apparirebbe immediatamente a migliaia di utenti.

ciao, per l’operazione che devi fare specialmente se devi caricare molte foto alla volta ti conviene usare le action di photoshop che in pochi secondi trasformano centinaia di foto con il miglior rapporto qualita/peso, nel caso di foto 800×600 si hanno buoni risultati gia da 27kb c.a. (dipende da diversi fattori), cmq controlla che quel programma freeware non abbia corrotto le immagini con non vedi in fase di salvataggio, (a me capita a volte con un resizer sul cellulare)
