Ciao a tutti,
da un pò di tempo ho un problema sul mio blog, in particolare non riessco a modificare il file header.php del mio tema (child theme) tramite il theme editor di WordPress.
L’unico modo che ho per modificare il file header.php è manualmente, quindi lo scarico in locale, lo modifico e lo ricaricarico via ftp.
La cosa strana è che quando tento di editare il file dal theme editor di wordpress non ricevo messaggi di errore, al clic del salva vengono portato sulla home page del blog senza le modifiche applicate al file. Il problema si presenta solo sul file header.php, se tento di modificare ad esempio il footer.php il problema non si presenta.
Tentativi effettuati:
– ho già provato dopo aver disabilitato tutti i plugin
– ho controllato i permessi sul file dal cPanel del mio hosting
– ho provato a cambiare tema
– ho provato a ricaricare il tema originale
Altra cosa che ho notato è che pure usando il plugin “Insert headers and footer” (che agisce evidentemente sul file header.php) anche salvando da li, ottengo lo stesso problema: redirect sulla homepage del blog e nessuna modifica apportata al file…
Qualcuno sa aiutarmi? Sono diversi giorni che ci smadonno…

Che è il modo migliore e quello che ti consiglio anche quando avrai risolto, ma non devi modificare quello scaricato perché facendo cosଠnon avrai backup.
Per il problema devi fare le prove, non come le hai fatte tu: devi disattivare tutti i plugin e attivare un tema di default della serie Twenty, da qui vedrai che il problema non c’è, poi riattivi il tema in uso con i plugin ancora disattivati e se il problema si presenta significa che è un errore del tema.

Che è il modo migliore e quello che ti consiglio anche quando avrai risolto, ma non devi modificare quello scaricato perché facendo cosଠnon avrai backup.

Ho provato a disattivare tutti i plugin, ho attivato il tema twenty sia il 2016 che il 2015 ed hanno pure loro lo stesso problema sul file header.php.
Ho fatto un’altra prova, ho riportato in locale l’intero sito (database e files) e la cosa bella è che funziona tutto. Stesso tema e stessi file. Adesso mi domando se è un problema dovuto all’hosting…
Potrebbe essere qualcosa del server che ospita il mio blog? Oppure il file .htaccess?
Non so più cosa provare

Allora è un’anomalia esterna al “pacchetto” di WP, temi e plugin, soprattutto se si presenta solo per l’header. Sicuro di non aver inserito tu qualche strana direttiva nel file .htaccess o in qualche altro file nella directory principale (il config o altro)? Se invece non hai nulla di estraneo in quei file o altro, apri un ticket con il tuo provider.

Ciao, stasera provo a dare un’occhio al file .htaccess se non vedo nulla di strano apro ticket verso il provider (anche se credo che mi diranno che non dipende da loro). In passato non avevo questo problema e non credo di aver introdotto qualche “strana” modifica.
Grazie ancora ti/vi tengo aggiornati nel caso possa servire a qualcuno che si ritrova il mio stesso problema.
