Da quanto ho capito questo sito e/p il planet girano sull’Apache di Dreamhost (se dico inesattezze fatemelo notare). Anche i miei siti lo fanno!
E’ da tempo che mi sono ripromesso di aggiustare una cosina che non mi sconfiffera proprio sulla gestione dell’.htaccess su Dreamhost ed e’ per questo che ho deciso ancora una volta di scrivere dato che in genere ho sempre ricevuto delle ottime risposte nonche’ utili consigli, spece da Wally e Steve che ringrazio vivamente per il supporto che danno.
Il caso e’ semplice: su dreamhost, ma credo anche su altri hosting, all’interno del proprio spazio web (sia esso condiviso dedicato o vhost) e’ possibile gestire un solo dominio o piu’ domini ogniuno dei quali puo’ essere configurato con un .htaccess personalizzato: e fin qua’ nulla di strano. Ogni sito o dominio ha il suo .htaccess che lavora indipendentemente da quello degli altri siti o domini presenti nello stesso spazio web.
Esiste pero’ un ma ed anche un se … ed e’ quello che vorrei capire meglio!
La configurazione dello spazio web e’ la sequente: /home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/
Il proprio sito o siti hanno di conseguenza questo path:
/home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/dominio1
/home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/dominio2
eccetera … eccetera … o quant’altro e’ possibile e consentito configurare.
Di conseguenza gli .htaccess saranno:
/home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/dominio1/.htaccess-dominio1
/home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/dominio2/.htaccess-dominio2
e via cosi’.
Tutto normale per ora. Ma venaimo al nocciolo.
E’ possibile anche inserire un .htaccess in questa posizione:
/home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/.htaccess
Dalle prove che ho fatto, ho potuto constatare che “alcuni comandi” presenti al suo interno vengono trasmessi a tutti i domini dello spazio web che non hanno un .htaccess ma anche a quelli che lo hanno. Ho scritto “alcuni comandi” perche’ non tutti vengono trasmessi, non riuscendo a capirne il criterio.
Ora la mia domanda e’ questa: e’ possibile avere un solo .htaccess in questa posizione /home/nomepropriospazioweboaccount/.htaccess che lavori per tutti i domini e sottodomini con un’unica configurazione generale uguale per tutti in modo da non dover scrivere o aggiornare decine di .htaccess ogni volta?
Confesso che non ho cercato molto in merito, e non sono un “espertone” di htaccess (so’ quello che mi serve a livello di configurazione anche avanzata ma sempre relativa al funzionamento dei CMS wordpress, bbpress, phpbb, jomala …) o “Apache” ma piuttosto un semplice programmatore html/php/js/ajax. Ho anche scritto piu’ volte all’assistenza ma per questo problema specifico non rispondono mai ?!? Bah!
