Ciao, ho visto su un altro blog che ha fatto questo ha inserito un libro da poter scaricare, e gli utenti inserendo nome e mail venivano iscritti automaticamente a feedburner, dopo conferma attivazione e potevano prendere il libro.
Come posso fare col widget subscribe a collegarlo a feedburner e a collegare il download di un ebook?

ti ringrazio per la risposta, io sono l’ultima ad aver scritto su quell’articolo infatti spero mi risponda presto.
Lଠperò si parla di impostare una newsletter con feedburner che è quello che farò anche io, ma non di come far scaricare la prima volta un ebook. Io volevo sapere anche quello.

Guarda, non ci ho ancora provato ma mi sembra chiaro ciò che suggerisce.
Certo, è un po macchinosa la cosa, ma è una soluzione interessante.

Purtroppo però non ci sono riuscita, sto girando in lungo e in largo anche nei forum inglese ma non capisco cosa devo fare.
Ho seguito la guida (a parte che non ho neppure capito dove si deve impostare su feedburner lo scaricamento del file), ma penso che non vada per wordpress 3.0 che è quello che ho io…
Mi rendo conto di chiedere troppo, chissà se wolly se non gli richiede troppo tempo mi dice cosa devo fare, gli offrirei volentieri una pizza
Oppure ancora se posso farlo con aweber, insomma da avere quella funzionalità di iscrizione collegata all’ebook free

E se con wp-downloadmanager carichi l’ebook rendendolo scaricabile solo da chi loggato.. e con qualche stratagemma (un redirect?); oppure il file messo proprio nella pagina ove arrivano da feedburner.. pagina che resterebbe nascosta ai normali visitatori del sito..

Ciao Giulia, come avrai (forse) letto nei commenti sul suo sito, ho chiesto anche io a Daniele delle info perchè NON riesco a venirne a capo per utilizzare la sua soluzioine (nemmeno con il plugins).
Se mi dai tempo però un giornetto, sto provando un’altra soluzione, si tratta di un plugins per la newsletters ALo Easy Mail (vers 1.8, la puoi scaricare qui.
Dagli screenshot presenti nella cartella, dalle informazioni date, mi pare che possa fare al caso nostro ed in modo funzionale
Ti aggiorno.
Se nel frattempo vuoi però testarlo o se trovi soluzione all’idea di Daniele, batti un colpo e la pizza (con bibita) te la offro io eheheheh

oggi giornata stressante, magari stasera tardi ci provo, diversamente aspetto e volentieri te la offro io comunque ci dovrebbe essere un sistema utile per tutti, perchè questa caratteristica per ogni blogger secondo me è quasi fondamentale.

In che senso errore fatale?
Se è per via che non riesci a installare dalla dashboard wp-downloadmanager, leggi cosa avevo scritto giusto qualche giorno fa’. Segui quella procedura che ho descritto ed è semplice.

allora alo easy mail non mi va, perchè non vedo in amministrazione admin nulla una volta attivato.
Per quanto riguarda wp-downloadmanager (io installo sempre mettendo la cartella via ftp in plugins) mi dà questo errore una volta attivato

Ciao Giulia, due notizie, una buona ed una cattiva
La prima: ALO Easy Mail funziona egregiamente se utilizzato per il solo scopo della newsletters.
La seconda: personalizzarlo per il nostro scopo è un’impresa perchè ci sarebbe da modificare in almeno 4 files il codice
Sul forums dell’autore ci sono state richieste indirizzate (con risposta) alle varie personalizzazioni, a cominciare dal widget sino alla pagina che viene visualizzata per confermare l’accettazione.
Sul blog che gestisco ho fatto dei test e funziona.
L’utente ha modo di iscriversi alla newsletters tramite l’inserimento dei dati nel widget o se accede ala pagina di registrazione al Blog, flaggando un campo apposito “voglio ricevere la newsletters”.
Ho aperto i file del plugins per cercare i riferimenti da modificare e sono riuscito solo in parte ad ottenere ciò che vogliamo, ti spiego:
– Sono riuscito a modificare il widget, inserendo una piccola immagine (120×160 px) al di sopra dei campi richiesti (nome e indirizzo email) e aggiungendo un breve testo ” Scarica l’ebook “Orologi non convenzionali: quando gli orologi non sono solo indicatori del tempo” e modificando la scritta “iscriviti” con “scarica gratis”.
Bene, fino a qui tutto ok…però però cominciano i problemi
Il Link che viene fornito tramite email punta ad una pagina del widget chiamata “alo-easymail_subscribers” che viene creata automaticamente quando lo installi ed alla quale l’utente accede per confermare la volontà di ricevere la newsletters (nel nostro caso dovrebbe invece apparire una pagina con un testo che ringrazia per l’interesse mostrato all’ebook ed un link per scaricarselo, magari collegato a download manager o se si vuole direttamente..)
Ecco, il casino è che NON capisco quali diamine sono le modifiche da fare, sono andato a tentativi ma senza esito e crashando tutto .
Ho controllato allora anche il file alo-easymail_functions, ma anche qui apriti cielo, ci sono richiami continui ad altri file del plugins e diventa un guazzabuglio capire come modificare i richiami stessi
Probabilmente se si hanno conoscenze un pochetto più approfondite delle mie si riesce a modificarlo.
Nel frattempo io ci ho provato ed ho lasciato un commento all’autore per chiermi di aiutarmi…vediamo se risponde e come

Ciao alla fine ho risolto dico qui come, pagherò comunque la pizza a chi mi ha fatto il discorso feedburner ma non mi permette di allegare il discorso scaricamento mail.

se qualcuno mi spiega cosa fa….
Invece io ho risolto cosà¬.
Fondamentale aweber iscrivetevi costa per il primo mese trial 1 dollaro, poi 19 dollari.
In pratica create la lista e nella lista potete inserire una vostra pagina dove ringraziate per l’iscrizione.
Poi in webforms create cosa volete che gli utenti vedano sulla vostra pagina del blog, nome indirizzo email ecc, verrà creato un codice java o html, io ho preso html da inserire dove volete nella vostra pagina blog
Infine, è qui il discorso che non capivo come fare.
Sempre da aweber andate su Messages>Follow up inserite un nuovo follow up e qui indicate il percorso per scaricare il libro.
A questo punto una volta che si sono iscritti la prima email che riceveranno sarà quella indicata nel follow up con il libro da scaricare (utilissimo il fatto che non vedono l’esatto percorso dove c’è l’ebook).
Potete vedere una versione funzionante sul mio blog.
Ahhh che soddisfazione ragazzi, grazie comunque a tutti.
Pagherò 25 dollari per quello che mi ha fatto un plugin che non mi serve per correttezza…. se a qualcuno dovesse servire…io ce l’ho.
