scusatemi, ma sono un po’ arrugginito, non riesco a fare cose siano pittosto semplici
in pratica, devo cambiare nome ad una pagina, una volta fatta la modifica del titolo e anche dello slug, salvo e nel menù mi compare il nuovo titolo e slug, però cliccandoci sopra dal menu nel frontend mi dà pagina non trovata, perchè mi esce lo slug della vecchia….ho provato anche ad aggiornare i permalink ma non ho risolto, cosa sbaglio? grazie mille
Se cambi titolo a un articolo o a una pagina (parlando di contenuti già pubblicati), non è necessario cambiare anche lo slug, anzi, sarebbe meglio non farlo per un URL già indicizzato.
Se vuoi cambiare comunque lo slug, ad es. per motivi di relazione con un titolo dall’argomento totalmente diverso, lo puoi fare tranquillamente e la procedura corretta è di modificarlo nell’editor della pagina con l’apposito bottone, salvare e aggiornare i permalink. WordPress effettua un redirect automatico e non c’è bisogno di fare nient’altro. Se è ciò che hai fatto e non funziona come dovrebbe, occorre come minimo vedere la pagina.
Eventualmente si può sempre aggiungere un redirect 301 nell’.htaccess, affinché il reindirizzamento avvenga più velocemente e sicuramente via server invece che via PHP ma, ripeto, WP lo fa già di suo quindi ci sarà qualcosa che glielo impedisce.
