Ciao, possiedo un blog wordpress per ora hostato ancora wu wordpress.com.
Mi piacerebbe acquistare un dominio personale, e mi è stato presentata da amici la possibilità di NON acquistare uno spazio web (con relative mail, etc) ma di acquistare solo il nome del dominio, da utilizzare poi su un server che queste persone che conosco hanno già acquistato e risiede in un datacenter. Mi offrirebbero loro lo spazio e la banda necessaria, (dividendo poi le spese in relazione ai miei consumi ovviamente).
E’ possibili fare ciò? Ho verificato su godaddy.com che il dominio che vorrei (estensione .com) è disponibile, ma una seconda domanda è questa:
Nell’attesa di approntare tutto sul loro server, di installare quindi prima wordpress e il backup del mio blog, è possibile intanto acquistare il solo nome del dominio e ridirigere il traffico che va su miosito.wordpress.com su miosito.com ?
Cosà¬, in questo periodo di transizione potrei cmq sfruttare il mio nuoov dominio usando però sempre lo spazio offerto gratuitamente da wordpress.com

EDIT: in effetti pensandoci forse la ridirezione che si dovrebbe fare è quella inversa, da miosito.com a miosito.wordpress.com, nell’attesa di avere lo spazio sufficiente…o mi sbaglio?

sei un tantino OT in quanto questo non e’ legato a wordpress.
1- si, si puo’ fare.
2- si, puoi redirigere il traffico da tuosito.com a tuoblog.wordpress.com. dopo aver acquistato il dominio con almeno la gestione dei dns crei un record cname che punta a tuoblog.wordpress.com

puoi farlo anche semplicemente con la direttiva header nell’index.php… naturalmente è come se il tuo sito.com non esistesse, ma può funzionare per il tempo che tu lo metta online (c’é anche il modo per non far riscrivere l’indirizzo, ma non mi ricordo i parametri corretti del comando header di php)
