In tutti i blog wordpress vedo che le thumbnail dei post nelle homepage hanno tutte la stessa dimensione.
Anchio avrei bisogno di una cosa del genere, ma non riesco proprio.
Ho wordpress 3.1.3:
– Vado allora su Impostazioni > Media, in dimensioni miniatura setto ad esempio 80 e spunto “Ritaglia la miniatura alle dimensioni esatte (solitamente le miniature sono proporzionali)”.
– Creo il mio bell’articolo, vado poi su “aggiungi immagine in evidenza”, carico l’immagine desiderata e mi assicuro che l’opzione miniatura sia selezionata.
Ma niente, le varie immagini hanno tutte dimensioni e proporzioni diverse.
Sto cercando plugin che mi permettono di gestire la cosa, ma per le nuove versioni di wordpress non esiste niente che mi può servire.
Ho provato anche con AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild che dovrebbe permettermi di ricostruirle in base alla dimensone settata, ma niente, tutto uguale a prima.
Ma allora come fate voi ad averle alle stesse dimensioni?
Ci sto sbattendo la testa da due giorni :,(

grazie macavanzi, purtroppo a quanto pare nel mio caso non cambia un bel niente. Pare che quei valori vengano ignorati.
Forse sarà un problema del mio tema, ma non posso cambiarlo per questa cosa
Ho provato anche con un plugin che si chiama Edit Post Thumbnails, ma non cambia niente lo stesso.

Adesso magari dico una cavolata… – è probabile che i valori vengano ignorati per gli articoli/pagine già pubblicati – prova a scrivere nuovi post (magari privati) e vedi (in base ai valori settati in /media/image sizes) come si comporta l’inserimento immagini da editor di testo, cioè che valori (tre) ti propone come: miniature – media immagine – immagine larga – ripeto… magari dico una sciocchezza però verifica – vedi anche come si comporta la galleria immagini nativa di wordpress

ho già fatto la prova sui nuovi articoli. I valori poi settati nelle impostazioni generali (cioè quelli del tuo screenshots) sono riconosciuti correttamente nella finestra della gestione immagini.
Ma purtroppo non cambia nulla. Ora non vorrei che ci fosse di mezzo qualche funzione del tema che ignora quei valori.
Farò la prova del 9 usando il tema standard wordpress e poi vediamo.

Senza una pagina di esempio come pensi ti si possa dare aiuto?
Consultando la tazzina del caffè di stamane il suggerimento è di controllare se il tema è stato creato da un dilettante; come vederlo? Con uno dei tanti siti che forniscono strumenti che analizzano le pagine, oppure con firebug o il suo omologo in opera. Potrebbe essere che il tema scala le immagini in html al posto di usare le apposite thumbs.
Comunque anche il sistema nativo lascia molto a desiderare. L’ideale sarebbe se WordPress fornisse dinamicamente le immagini dimensionate al volo in base alle impostazioni del browser e dello schermo ed idem i temi fossero fluid; ma per i noti consumi di memoria di php al momento non sono applicati questi sistemi. In ambiente .NET, invece, si usa da anni.. Ovvio che fornire immagini “al volo” comporta problemi per creare la cache delle pagine, come con la gestione degli exif, ma un bravo programmatore sa come intervenire.

Il tema si chiama “Dolci Theme” ed è questo http://newwpthemes.com/wordpress-theme/dolci/
Ho provato a mettere il tema di default ed ho notato una cosa.
Il crop delle immagini ora funziona, ma solo se inserisco l’à¬mmagine tramite il pulsate sopra l’area di testo “Aggiungi Immagine” (quella con accanto aggiungi video, aggiungi audio ecc…).
Se provo ad utilizzare la seguente funzione non va:
Col mio tema invece il crop non va neanche con il classico “aggiungi immagine”
Nell’index.php vedo questa funzione <?php if ( function_exists(“has_post_thumbnail”) && has_post_thumbnail() ) { the_post_thumbnail(array(200,160), array(“class” => “alignleft post_thumbnail”)); } ?>

Forse ora ci siamo, sostituendo the_post_thumbnail(array(200,160) con the_post_thumbnail(‘thumbnail’ … il crop viene eseguito

Appunto è molto probabile che, come avevo detto, l’autore dilettante “scalava” (per dire ridimensionava) le immagini in html.. Bel tema!
p.s.
Per analizzare una pagina di esempio non serve uno screenshot ma un link ad una pagina, la home o una degli archivi, dove si vede l’immagine che dia il problema; se poi tu mi insegni come poter farlo da una foto.. Allora ben venga, son sempre disponibile a imparare nuove funzioni..
