Salve a tutti ho un plugin (widgetkit) che mi sta dando problemi e siccome sta una nuova versione di questo plugin probabilmente posso risolvere, il problema però è che dal pannello di WordPress non mi dice che c’è l’aggiornamento mentre sul sito del widget ci sta… ora mi chiedo come posso fare manualmente per aggiornare il plugin mi basta caricare la cartella con il nome uguale al widget che ho già sul sito ed automaticamente me l’aggiorna senza cancellare nulla?

Rimuovere il vecchio e mettere il nuovo ma sul sito di yootheme se hai acquistato il tema e quindi hai l’accesso al supporto/forum dovrebbe esserci scritto.

si certo ma cosi non perdo tutti i widget che ho creato con la versione precedente tipo le slide?
ps. non ho i dati per accedere a yootheme perchè non ho scaricato nulla da la, al massimo posso scaricare la versione nuova free sempre del widgetkit

Comunque se hai il tema Lava Theme preso chissà in quale modo, il plugin è premium e non è uguale a quello free per cui se lo aggiorni con quello free tutte le opzioni e i widget creati con quello premium li perderai.
Ora capisco perchè non ti ritrovi l’aggiornamento automatico nella dashboard.

Allora ora ti spiego… io sto lavorando su un sito dove chi prima di me lo aveva fatto ha scaricato questo tema (e penso che lo abbia pagato per scaricarlo), però non ho i dati per accedere al sito per scaricare l’aggiornamento che presumo si possa fare gratuitamente una volta che è acquistato.
Il fatto che non esce l’aggiornamento automatico dal pannello di wordpress presumo sia per evitare proprio il fatto che chiunque possa farlo senza che pagano, costringendoti a riloggare sul sito per il nuovo aggiornamento!
Comunque sia la tua risposta è precisa se il widget è a pagamento e io ora ci metto la versione free aggiornata perdo tutto!

Acquistalo e scarichi quello che vuoi e in futuro ti usciranno gli aggiornamenti sul pannello.

ma perchè tu dici che questo è dovuto al fatto che quello prima di me non lo ha acquistato il tema ma ha svolto qualche altra operazione per impossessarsene? mah a me sembra strano…

Se ha acquistato tema e plugin per te, fatti dare le credenziali di accesso.
Se li hai pagati, fatti dare le credenziali.
Se non li hai pagati e li vuoi usare, comprali.
