Ciao a tutti! Ho appena aperto un nuovo blog (www.aiutinux.it), ma non riesco a capire come mai non riesca a far visualizzare il titolo del sito nel TAG head -> title. Tutto quel che c’è sono due spazi, mentre per le pagine/articoli 3 spazi seguiti dal nome della pagina/dell’articolo. Come mai? Non credo c’entri il tema (Custom Community) perché non dovrebbe gestire lui il TAG head…
Consigli? Aiuto? Grazie

Prova a consultare il forum di supporto italiano di BuddyPress dato che su WordPress.org hai già postato a riguardo. – magari è un problema del plugin o forse del tema utilizzato, quasi sicuramente non di WordPress.

Stai utilizzando il plugin BuddyPress su WordPress 3.2.1… come cosa c’entra?

No, non lo sto utilizzando… Sto usando solo Akismet, Creative Commons Configurator, Slick Contact Forms. Custom Community è un tema per WordPress _e_ BuddyPress.

Appunto Custom Community è un template per BuddyPress e WordPress (ce ne sono di meglio: ad esempio BuddyPress Default 1.2.9 di BuddyPress.org) – quindi stai utilizzando anche BuddyPress – con tutta sincerità non capisco: ti serve un aiuto per quanto riguarda WordPress o per quanto riguarda il plugin BuddyPress?

Il fatto di utilizzare Costum Comunity NON significa che necessariamente utilizzare anche Buddypress!!!
Per Macavanzi: mi sai indicare secondo te quali sono altri temi per Buddypress migliori di Custom community, ma che siano anche cosଠfacilmente modificabili da pannello di amministrazione?
Te ne sarei grato perchè con questo io mi sono trovato molto bene (essendo negato per lavorare sui template)

Prova con il tema di default e a plugin disattivati – vedi se il problema persiste…

Spesso i temi per funzionare in modo corretto hanno bisogno di essere popolati da contenuti, idem per le sidebar.
Attivare un tema dedicato a WordPress associato a BPress – senza però aver installato quest’ultimo – potrebbe essere la causa del problema. Non ho modo di provare in locale una configurazione simile, ma il consiglio è di sostituire il tema; oppure aggiungere Buddypress.

Effettivamente questa mattina ho provato ed il problema è proprio il tema… credo che tra tanti ne sceglierò un altro, oppure provo ad installarmi buddypress (ora mi informo di cosa sia innanzi a tutto). Nel caso, avete idea di un plugin separato al tema che faccia lo slideshow degli articoli come quello in homepage?

EDIT: andare su una piattaforma fork di wordpress non mi entusiasma molto pensavo fosse tipo un plugin. Possibile comunque che il tema sia espressamente fatto sia per WordPress sia per Buddypress e che non funzioni correttamente col primo?

Trovato il problema, evidentemente in una versione recente di WordPress ora il titolo è diviso dal nome del sito. Aggiunto bloginfo( ‘name’ ) alla funzione dei header del template ed ora funziona correttamente
