Un caro saluto a tutti del forum,
Ancora una volta mi rivolgo a voi ed al vostro prezioso aiuto
Ho una versione di WP 2.3.3. e vorrei aggiornare alla 2.6.3.
Bene, ho già backuppato i file ora presenti in remoto ed ho creato anche un backup del DB.
Leggendo la documentazione fornita alla èpagina http://www.wpitaly.it/wiki/Main/Upgrade-20 però mi è sorto un piccolissimo dubbio, infatti leggo:
Passo 7: cancellare i vecchi files di wordpress ma NON cancellare:
la cartella wp-includes/languages/ – se utilizzate un file di linguaggio non cancellate questa cartella;
vuol dire che devo cancellare solamente tutto il contenuto presente nella cartella e lasciare la sottocartella /languages.
Fatto questo uplodo tutti i file presenti nella cartella della versione 2.6.3?
Prima di procedere vorrei capire se è giusto il procedimento

cancella anche quella cartella perchè ora non è più li il language.
Ora il language si trova sotto wp-content.
Aggiorneremo la guida.

imposta il tema di default, disabilita i plugin.
gli unici file che devi tenere sono quelli dei temi, dei plugin, la cartella (remota) uploads e il file config.php… tutto il resto lo puoi (anzi lo devi) cancellare…
carichi il tuo nuovo wp, ci metti il tuo config.php, aggiorni il db richiamando http://www.miosito.com/wp-update.php (o /wp-admin/wp-update.php non ricordo bene, ma uno delle due sicuramente)… che ti aggiorna il DB…
solo a questo punto, quando vedi che il sito è correttamente caricato con il tema di default, cominci a caricare i plugin uno alla volta, li provi ed eventualmente li aggiorni (anche direttamente dal pannello di controllo)…
a questo punto carichi il tuo tema, lo avvii e lo provi… eventualmente lo modifichi per adattarlo alla nuova versione di WP…

Fatto tutto e aggiornato WP alla 2.6.3.
Ho postato un altro post a parte perchè dopo l’aggiornamento ci sono cose che non funzionano più, e inizialmente pareva andare tutto bene..
Grazie per la continua assistenza, sia a te che a Wolly che anche agli utenti del forums, senza di voi sarei perso )
