Ciao a tutti, avrei bisogno del vostro aiuto perché ho un problema e non so come uscirne. Debita premessa, sono alle prime armi e non conosco i linguaggi di programmazione.
Ho acquistato un dominio e avrei voluto installare WordPress ma non riesco. Ecco gli step nel dettaglio.
Ho acquistato un dominio da Aruba con database Mysql e hosting su Linux (seguendo i vostri consigli). Ho scaricato la versione 2.6.3 di WordPress, l’ho scompattata come da “manualeâ€, aggiunto i dati del mio db nel file “wp-config-sample.php” e rinominato in “wp-config.php”.
A questo punto mi sono connesso al mio spazio web con Filezilla e ho creato una sottocartella denominata “Blogâ€. All’interno di questa cartella ho trasferito la cartella wordpress.
Ho provato poi ad aprire la pagina con il mio browser (sia con firefox che con internet explorer) ma appariva questo messaggio “The requested URL /wp-admin/install.php was not found on this serverâ€. Leggendo tra i vari topic ho scoperto che poteva essere dettato da una erronea digitazione cosଠho provato ad aprire la pagina aggiungendo le cartella in cui ho caricato wordpress, per cui: http://www.miosito.it/blog/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php ma mi appare questo nuovo messaggio:
“The requested URL /wp-admin/install.php was not found on this serverâ€.
Non so come uscirne perché leggendo sui vari forum mi sto complicando le idee: non so più se l’errore sia dovuto a qualche errore nel caricamento con filezilla, al mio database, ad un errore di aruba. Aiutatemi por favor ïŒ

se non trova i file significa che sono in altra posizione, verifica con filezilla l’esatto percorso.

ok, grazie. Ma come posso verificare? I file sono caricati qui da quanto vedo /Blog/wordpress/ . Devo aggiungere al percorso file che sono in altre sottocartelle? Grazie

allora verifica che in blog/wordpress/wp-admin/ esista il file install.php

/Blog/wordpress/wp-admin questo il percorso fino a wpadmin. All’interno di questa cartella ci sono 5 sottocartelle più una serie di file tra cui install.php. Grazie per la pazienza

fatto! Ripristinato. Vedo che i permessi sono su user e gruppo (lettura, scrittura e esecuzione). E’ ok cosà¬? Ora, per non sbagliare, cosa devo fare? Ricomincio da zero e ricarico tutto? Grazie

allora è un problema di permessi solo che non capisco perchè dopo averli ripristinati ti da quell’errore.
Su aruba ho 4 blog tutti funzionanti senza alcun problema.
Cancella tutto, riscarica worpdress e ricaricalo però magari senza metterlo in un sottocartella della sottocartella,metti tutto in blog/ senza metterlo anche in wordpress e riprova.

ok, faccio tutto dall’inizio seguendo le tue indicazioni e vediamo come va. Tutti parlano di installazione in 5 minuti e io dopo 48 ore ancora non ho lanciato wordpress, mi viene da ridere Speriamo bene, grazie ancora. Ti aggiorno

Attenzione… sei su un sistema linux
quindi se tu hai creato le directory Blog/wordpress, devi cercare in Blog/wordpress e non in blog/wordpress… linux è case sensitive.

Grazie Gollum, ho re-installato tutto come da consigli di Wally ma si presenta un altro problema. Digitando http://www.miosito.it/blog/wp-admin/install.php (ho creato solo la cartella blog e all’interno ci son tutti i file di wordpress e le sottocartelle wp admin, wp content, wp includes) il browser mi da questo errore:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /web/htdocs/www.miosito.it/home/blog/wp-config.php on line 3
Non so più come uscirne, che si fa?

il file wp-config è corrotto, facendo le modifiche hai cancellato qualcosa.
prendi di nuovo il config-sample e ricompilalo facendo attenzione a non cancellare nulla.
Potrebbe mancare un apice o qualcosa del genere.

o soluzione ancora più semplice:
cancellalo proprio.
poi richiami il tuo blog
A questo punto ti chiederà di inserire i dati per il collegamento con il DB (quelli in pratica che hai inserito in precedenza).
una volta finita tutta la procedura puoi entrare via ftp e copiarti in locale il file config.php che è stato generato automaticamente, lo potrai anche personalizzare per alcune cose, ma per ora lascialo stare, tientelo da parte pronto da rimettere quando fai qualche aggiornamento o via dicendo.

ecco il messaggio che mi appare ora. So che è abbastanza chiaro ma non capisco come sia possibile, ho messo sql, user e password corretti:
Errore nello stabilire una connessione al database
Ciò significa che le informazioni sul nome utente o sulla password presenti nel file wp-config.php non sono corrette o che non è possibile contattare il server del database a localhost. Il che potrebbe voler dire che il database server del fornitore di hosting non è attivo.
* Si è sicuri di disporre del nome utente e della passwrod corretti?
* Si è sicuri di aver digitato correttamente il nome dell’host?
* Si è sicuri che il server del database sia funzionante?
Nel caso non si abbia certezza sul significato di questi termini è opportuno contattare il proprio host. Se si ha bisogno di ulteriore aiuto è sempre possibile visitare il Forum di supporto italiano su WordPress.

mmm, che intendi con indirizzo del database? Dove lo trovo? Ho l’host, ho l’indirizo di accesso su aruba, quale altro? Perdona l’ignoranza

quando ti hanno mandato la mail per la registrazione del server di aruba, ti hanno dato i dati per la connessione:
troverai un indirizzo IP, è quello che devi mettere al posto di localhost
