Non ci capisco una mazza di wordpress e php, programmo in asp/sql server migrante a .net
Ho scoperto l’altro ieri WordPress MU e ho visto la luce, visto che volevo implementare una blog network e ero nel panico.
Premesso questo, se c’è da tradurre qualcosa a tempo perso o dare una mano in qualche modo, sono disponibile e se mai arriverò a capirci qualcosa, sarò felice di aiutare in problemi di installazione e modding (anche se dubito che accadrà ).
Per il resto sono alto bellissimo e affascinante.

se sai programmare in ASP / SQL server non avrai problemi a passare al light side e imparare WP / PHP
Per iniziare a capirci qualcosa dai uno sguardo al Wiki, giusto per farti un’idea del funzionamento. Se proprio ti mancano le basi di PHP una infarinatura non ti può fare male. La programmazione PHP ti servirà più avanti, se vorrai realizzare dei plugin o modificare quelli esistenti alle tue necessità .
Volendo semplificare al massimo, essenzialmente WP, nel suo funzionamento base, si basa sull’esecuzione di funzioni PHP richiamate nel codice PHP embedded nei file di template. Per quel che so di ASP, il meccanismo di base è simile.
Queste funzioni possono essere di sistema (all’interno della directory wp-includes) o personalizzate (all’interno della directory dei plugins). Le funzioni di sistema fanno andare avanti la baracca: ti tirano fuori i dati dal database, ti permettono di personalizzare il template (i tag di template), ti permettono di sapere in che pagina ti trovi (tag condizionali), etc…
Per le domande da newbie cerca in questo forum, molte domande, le stesse domande, vengono fatte spesso, anche troppo.
Se hai domande più specifiche, chiedi pure.
Un’ultima cosa: WordPress da’ il meglio di sé su macchine Unix. Però funziona bene anche su Windows se vuoi testarlo in locale, ma come server dovresti usare Apache e non IIS.

Di fatto non è solo una questione si sintassi purtroppo… quello è sicurametne il primo passo, però poi essendo un linguaggio lato server ci sono molte cose correlate che con il linguaggio si interfacciano, appunto il server web, il sistema operativo, componenti (o librerie in questo caso) aggiuntivi, driver, database (mySQL anzichè SQL Server)…
Insomma tutto si fa… per me oramai programmare ASP è come parlare inglese, se esce un errore assurdo da qualche parte o c’è qualcosa che non va come dovrebbe, apro la pagina e lo correggo senza neanche guardare il codice.
Se devo fare una nuova implementazione ci metto un decimo del tempo normale, se devo mettere le mani su un codice non mio mi basta leggerlo una volta.
Arrivare a programmare in php a questo livello, purtroppo, anche se mi piacerebbe non rientra nei miei obiettivi dati i limiti materiali di tempo a disposizione e dato che sono 2 anni che dovrei fare la stessa cosa con asp.net e non sono riuscito ancora a scrivere una riga di codice eheheeh
Farlo cosଠsenza capirci molto, equivale a perdere il triplo del tempo alla prima difficoltà … comunque vediamo, magari una piccola infarinatura se mettiamo in piedi una blog network sarà indispensabile, anche se prevedo di affidarmi a chi già sa cosa fare e poi pregherò che non si presentino troppe complicazioni.
Il server si… sarà un server dedicato linux o quello che suggerirà il master installer insomma eheheh
In ogni caso, ribadisco la mia disponibilità per funzioni più da sguattero, tipo traduzioni e simili, almeno per ora.
