Ciao,
sto seguendo le istruzioni per iniziare a caricare wp.
Ho modificato il file wp-config come indicato.
Adesso mi si dice di aprire il file install.php con il browser, ma mi appare una pagina di codice di cui non ci capisco nulla. Ci sono due campi da riempire ma non riesco nemmeno a capire cosa devo scriverci.
Ho ricontrollato il wp-config e sembra tutto apposto:
– Ho indicato il nome del database, user e password.
– Ho messo la frase lunga che mi sono fatto generare dal sito indicato nello stesso file.
– Ho specificato la lingua dopo aver creato la cartella wp-content/languages e averci messo dentro il file it_IT.mo.
Il server è su altervista.

Per ingenuità e totale ignoranza in materia non avevo caricato i file sul server. Adesso ho caricato tutto, ma andando all’indirizzo http://www.paolopappalardo.altervista.org/wp-admin/install.php mi da comunque un altro errore. E’ come se ci fosse qualche problema nel wp-config. Ma ho controllato mille volte, è tutto ok.
Il php dovrebbe essere attivato. COme posso verificare?

se ti da un errore il PHP funziona e se dice che l’errore è nei parametri di configurazione del database.. è cosà¬. Se non sai quali parametri esattamente inserire informati col tuo hoster chiedendogli i dati esatti per la connessione al DB, sempre che tu abbia acquistato un servizio con database.

altervista ha una pagina delle faq dedicata proprio al mysql. E’ lଠche ho trovato tutti i parametri che ho inserito nel wp-config

riscrivi qua l’esatto errore che appare allora… ma ripeto se WP dice che i dati non son giusti vuol dire che non sono giusti…

Ecco cosa mi dice:
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?
Ci sono 2 parametri nel wp-config che non ho impostato:
1)quello relativo alla possibilità di caricare più cms nello stesso server (o almeno credo serva a quello). Adesso provo a dare un valore anche a quello, vediamo cosa succede.
2)define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”); non so cosa mettere, altervista non specifica nulla.

Ho risolto
Davo per scontato che il mysql fosse attivo, mentre altervista vuole che si vada ad attivarlo apposta e si scelga anche la classe.
