Salve a tutti,
ho installato nextgen-gallery su wp 2.3 solo che quando carico immagini ad una certa risoluzione il plugin non riesce a creare le miniature. Questo l’errore:
Le seguenti miniature non possono essere create.
prova.jpg (Error : Exceed Memory limit. Require : 13.09 MByte).
Ho controllato e in effetti la configurazione di default della memoria allocata del mio server (Aruba…, è l’ultima volta che lo uso) è di 12M. Naturalmente ho contattato Aruba e la risposta è che non è possibile cambiare quel tipo di parametro a meno di acquistare un server virtuale (altri 10 euro mensili). Girovagando per la rete ho incontrato dei post nei quali si diceva di una soluzione del problema con l’inserimento di codice del tipo ini_set(â€memory_limitâ€, “16Mâ€);, solo che non so in quale pagina php inserirlo. Qualcuno può aiutarmi?

Di solito si mette all’inizio dello script, e funziona solo se PHP è configurato per permettere la modifica delle impostazioni. Per cui dubito che Aruba ti dia la possibilità di modificare quel valore.

quando avevo il blog su aruba funzionava, l’avevo messo all’inizio del plugin che mi creava problemi

Grazie a tutti per le vostre risposte, comunque ho risolto inserendo il codice in questione all’inizio del file thumbnail.inc in wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/. Spero che possa essere utile a quantiin futuro si dovessero trovare nella mia stessa situazione.

Be’ se davvero funziona, allora è un bel passo in avanti
Strano però che Aruba permetta di fare questo, a meno che non sia una “dimenticanza” dei sistemisti o dipenda dal fatto che PHP non gira in safe mode.

In effetti php su aruba non è in safe mode e a tutti quelli che erano su aruba e chiedevano come fare ho sempre detto di mandarmi un email che gli avrei spiegato il da farsi per paura che pubblicando la soluzione qui poi avrebbero cambiato la configurazione
